Also sorry I went MIA for a minute. My life is semi falling apart 😅
April 22nd
"Do I really have to do a stupid prom proposal if we're already dating? Sounds pointless to me." Hunter groaned out. Not wanting to do anything that might embarrass himself in front of Frankie.
"Uh, yes! What kind of friend would I be if I let my best friend go to prom without one? She deserves it. And it's called a promposal." Lisa corrected.
"You'd be a friend that knows she doesn't care about that type of shit." Hunter grumbled under his breath. Still not thrilled with the idea.
"Hey!" Lisa said as she abruptly stopped in the school hallway. Stopping Hunter in his tracks as well. "I know you both may think it's silly or lame, or whatever, but it's a memory you might look back on forever together. Wouldn't it be nice to have a sweet moment for you guys to share? Another milestone of high school life together?"
Hunter had to admit, when Lisa put it that was she made a valid point. If it meant another moment in time that he could tie to the girl of his dreams, why not?
"Okay fine." He huffed out. "I'll 'prompose'." He put in hand quotations with sarcasm.
She squealed in excitement and jumped up and down. Eager to see what Frankie would think of the whole experience.
"What if you decorate her locker? Oh or ask her at lunch in some flashy way. You could do it in the middle of class. Or you could even-"
"Lisa." Hunter stopped the girl's quick rambling as he gently took ahold of her shoulders. "I appreciate the ideas, I really do, but I think I have one of my own. So stop freaking out. I've got it covered."
He released her shoulders as she relaxed a bit. Nodding back to him. Realizing he had it under control.
"Oh, okay. Even better! I'm sure she'll love whatever you come up with. But don't forget I'm here if you need any suggestions!" She was quick to add in before walking off down the hallway.
Kevin walked up to Hunter shaking his head and laughing to himself. Questioning what that interaction was all about.
"Just Lisa being Lisa." Hunter informed. "Hey, if I ask for your help after school are you free?"
"Sure thing. What do you need help with though?" Kevin questioned back.
"Thanks man, I'll let you know in a little while. I need to make an appearance by the band room first."
Hunter proudly bounced off down the hallway. Getting a jumpstart on his plan. His ideas were already spinning and he wanted to have it done by the end of the day.
