Ride the Lightening-Metallica

Frankie found a practice room that wasn't being currently used and picked up a spare guitar. Deciding to skip eating lunch and blow off some steam instead. She liked to believe that she was solely annoyed over the prom business. Sure that added to it but she knew what it really was about.

This is exactly why she didn't want to tell her friends about Hunter. At first she thought Kendall would be the most understanding, knowing Lisa would have a conniption fit over it. But with seeing how odd Kendall was about Hunter made her think Lisa was going to be a thousand times worse. She didn't need anyone else persuading or trying to judge her feelings when she was still working through them herself. She was certainly going to keep it to herself for now after that.

Hunter had ran out of the cafeteria and found Frankie pretty quickly. All he had to do was follow the sweet low hum of metal to figure out which practice room she was in. He stepped up to the small glass window as he watched Frankie play and sing along to Ride The Lightening by Metallica.

(3:40 if you wanted to listen along)

He watched from outside the room as her fingers flew over the neck of the guitar during the solo at rapid speed. She let her head hang back as she looked up to the ceiling while playing. All emotion breaking free through her fingertips. Her sweater was off so he could see the muscles in her small arms flex as she played.

Waiting until she was done with the solo before deciding to enter the room. He slowly opened the door and walked in, pulling it shut behind himself.

Hunter crossed his arms and leaned his back against the doorframe as he observed quietly. He knew Frankie noticed that he walked inside but it was clear she was determined to finish her song. He watched her like a hawk as she continued to sing. Nodding his head along to the beat. She only looked out of the corner of her eye at him once. Her full focus remaining on playing.

Her movements were as quick and sharp as her voice was. Hunter could tell she was on edge by the tone in her singing voice and body language. Her brows furrowed deeper as her lip curled higher. Scrunching her face as she harshly sang along to Hetfield's voice.

"Time moving slow

The minutes seem like hours

The final curtain call I see

How true is this?

Just get it over with

If this is true, just let it be

Wakened by horrid scream

Freed from this frightening dream

Flash before my eyes

Now it's time to die

Burning in my brain

I can feel the flame!"

Hunter couldn't help but be mesmerized by her. It was a damn good performance, if he was biased or not. Her passion came out more when she was angry. She ended the song sharply as she struck the final chord. Finally looking over at Hunter when she was all done.
