The last week of winter break had gone by without any more crazy events. It was now the second week of January and time to return to school for Monday morning.
Frankie picked out her outfit and put her usual loose waves in her hair. She gave herself a final look over, said goodbye to her dad, pulled on a leather jacket and was off to school. Feeling somewhat anxious to go back.

Hunter had arrived a few minutes earlier to school than normal. Trying to convince himself it wasn't because he was eager to see a certain girl. The last time he and Frankie had spoke was over a week ago when he dropped her back off at Clay's.
Both of them spent that week continuing to talk themselves out of the other having feelings for their self. Neither wanting to believe there could have been a chance at something more. Thinking it was easier to return to their normal lives. Rather than risk hurt or embarrassment.
Yet Hunter still found himself searching the parking lot for an old black pickup truck. Kevin and Emily fast to approach him as they exited Kevin's car.
Hunter had explained to them what had happened over winter break. Keeping secret of any sexual details from his friends. He felt wrong to expose that part of their time together.
"Waiting for someone special?" Emily asked Hunter as he was leaning against his car. She could see his eyes exploring the parking lot like he was on the hunt for somebody.
"Who would I be looking for?" Hunter asked his friends.
Telling them to shut up as they both gave him a deadpan face as a response. Knowing exactly who they were referring to. He pressed off of his car and was about to push past them to walk inside of the school. But then he saw her.
