Peace Sells-Megadeth

Wednesday

The weekend came and went a lot faster than Frankie anticipated. Along with Monday and Tuesday. Accidently catching whatever Emily had the week before. Missing the first two days due to being sick.

She was able to work on her project due to being stuck at home with nothing else to do. She wasn't feeling 100% still but decided to go back to school today. The only bright side was her truck was now fixed.

"You feeling any better kid?" Her dad Morgan asked as she made her way downstairs.

"Not dying anymore but I still feel pretty shitty."

"You don't have to go back today if you want to stay home one more day." Her dad told her.

"It's okay. I'm getting cabin fever and need to get out of here." Frankie rarely missed school. It drove her nuts to get behind with school work.

"Okay, just let the office know I said you could leave early if you don't feel up to finishing the day. They can call me if you need to come home. I'll keep my cell on." Morgan told his daughter as they hugged goodbye and she made her way to school.

Hunter felt odd about not having Frankie beside him for the last two days during class. Knowing through Kevin that she was at home sick. He spent his lone time in class like normal. Doodling or playing songs in his mind. He thought about texting her to see how she was doing. But ruled that out just as quickly as he had the thought.

He didn't realize she returned to school at first until walking in to see her sitting at her desk in Speech class. She looked like shit. Clearly still getting over being sick. Her face was flush as she leaned against her hand. Looking like she was fighting the urge to stay awake in class.

Frankie thinking maybe she should go home early like her dad suggested. Maybe even stay home one more day tomorrow. Until Miss Johnson told the class they would be presenting on Thursday and Friday to get through everyone before the weekend.

Announcing which partners would be speaking tomorrow. As if fate really wanted to stick it to the girl. She and Hunter were to present tomorrow on Thursday. Of fucking course.

The bell rang for lunch as Frankie made her way to her locker. Going to find the Advil she packed for her on going headache. She wasn't expecting a visitor when ruffling through her bookbag.

"Mind telling me why Lance Miller said that he saw you getting into Hunter Sylvester car last week?" Skip Hoffman spoke from the right side of her locker. Aggravation lacing his words. Grabbing a few other students attentions.

"Lance Miller is a pill popping lowlife." Frankie snarked back. Not in the mood to deal with Skip's bullshit today. Still looking for her medicine.

"That didn't answer my question. What the hell were you doing with that loser?"

"We're partners in Speech and have a project we needed to get done. That's it. Not that it's of of your business. What the hell is it to you? "
