"What was that about at lunch with Lisa?" Hunter questioned as he and Frankie took their seats in the back of World History.
"Let's just say Lisa is far more open minded or smarter than I ever gave her credit for."
Hunter only nodded and decided to not ask anymore about it. Clearly there was no problems between the girls so he didn't feel the need to ask about their personal conversation. He felt more relieved to know it went well at least.
"Wanna hang out this weekend?" Hunter was quick to ask.
"It's only Monday, we literally just got done spending the previous weekend together. Can't get enough of me already, can you?" Frankie flashed a teasing smirk. She was also surprised at his sudden invitation.
"Well, the way I look at it we only have about 5 weekends left in this school year. You might forget about me over summer break and not want to be my friend anymore." Hunter stuck out his bottom lip dramatically. Like he was a pouting child.
"Awe, scared of losing me already Sylvester?" Frankie pouted her lips back with a fake sad face.
"Of course I am." He answered in a much more serious tone than she expected. Causing her playfulness to slip as her face dropped.
Frankie was glad when Mr. Bins started his lecture of the day. Stopping the two's conversation from going any further.
Why does he have to keep turning things around and get serious like that? As heart warming as it was, it still made Frankie scared shitless. That wasn't going to change any time soon.
Just friends. Don't stress over anything else right now Francesca. You literally just had a talk about this. He knows that. Go with the flow and all will be okay. I hope. Stop getting in your own head about this shit. You agreed flirting was okay, maybe that was his flirting. He probably hasn't had much experience with it and doesn't know what he's saying when he gets serious like that. He's always tried to catch you off guard like that. It's Hunter Sylvester for Christ's sakes. You're the first girl he's been with. Oh my fucking god, you're the first girl he's been with! I probably didn't think that part through did I? Maybe he did expect us to become super serious after that. No, no you both agreed not to before and after it happened. Did I fuck everything up already by sleeping with him?
"Are you okay over there?" Hunter whispered to her.
"Huh?" His words snapped her from her current spiral in her mind.
"You're biting your bottom lip again and your leg is shaking the whole table. Everything okay?" His voice came out sincere.
