One week later

The following Friday

Hunter had continued to blow Frankie off the rest of the week. He couldn't bring himself to tell her what was actually wrong. He knows he wasn't meant to overhear her personal conversation but it hurt to know if that's how she actually felt.

Frankie couldn't distract herself enough to keep her mind off of Hunter. Lisa was thrilled and thought she was excited for prom by the way she was taking the reins of planning and organizing. But she was only trying to keep herself busy by doing so. Now thankful for the next two weeks of getting things in order for prom.

After the last few days Frankie felt like she deserved to blow off some major steam. Clay was having a party tonight after school so it was the perfect opportunity to do so.

She and her two girl friends got ready together at Clay's house like normal. Frankie put on a quick wing of eyeliner and slipped her leather jacket on over her dress. Ready to get shit faced and forget about her feelings for a night.

"1, 2, 3!" Clay shouted as he puckered his face after taking another shot. He and Frankie had lost count of how many drinks they've been through at this point. Downing shot after shot together.

He's been her so called shoulder to cry on this week. She explained every thing that had been going on and her feelings in depth for Hunter finally. Telling Clay how different he's been this week for some reason towards her. He was unable to come up with any suggestions either. He thought things were going great for the pair beforehand.

He pointed at how it resembled the way Frankie was acting out before, when she got scared of her feelings and pushed Hunter away. Thinking maybe he was doing the same now to her. Either way Frankie was exhausted trying to come up with a reasoning for it. Drinking enough alcohol to supply a small party store at this point. She was in between the sweet spot of being the life of the party and wanting to fight everyone in sight.

"Kevooo!!" Frankie ran over as she saw him pour some punch into a plastic cup. He was feeling tipsy but no where near Frankie's level.

"Hey you. Emily was wondering where you were hiding." Kevin gave her a small side hug.

"Where's your little friend?" Frankie's words came out slurred.
