Prompt:
Your heart pounded as you stepped off the boat and onto the eroded dock. You glanced around to see that you had arrived at a rundown summer camp called Camp Wawanakwa, and not a five star resort like the flyer had mentioned.
However, instead of complaining about it, you were thankful you had even made it onto the show, and you were determined to prove yourself worthy of the competition.
As you looked around, you saw a few other contestants similar in age at the end of the dock. One girl that instantly caught your eye was a goth with black and blue dyed hair. Next to her was a petite brown haired girl who had braces. Hovering over the two was a muscular guy wearing a green shirt— you presumed he was a jock by the way he held himself. There were a few other teens in the cluster, some sending you warm smiles while others snarled. A couple of them didn't even bother to look at you.
You soon spotted Chris McLean, the host of the show, walking towards you with a big grin on his face.
"Welcome to Total Drama Island, Y/N!" he exclaimed. "You're gonna love it here."
You smiled nervously, trying to calm your nerves. "Thanks, Chris. I'm excited to be here."
Chris gestured towards the other contestants. "Make yourself at home while we wait and introduce the others."
You smiled and waved at the group, feeling a little intimidated by their cool and confident demeanors.
While you walked over to the group, Chris began to introduce another contestant who had arrived. You couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and anxiety.
You knew it was going to be a tough competition, but you were committed to giving it your all while you were here.
Questions to keep in mind as you envision yourself in Total Drama:
How many teens were already on the dock when you arrived? Who smiled at you? Who ignored you? Did anyone start a conversation with you? How did you feel about Chris McLean? Who did you stand next to when you walked over to the others? Who was being introduced right after you?
