59- Duncan's Stubborn Slumber

You sighed, gazing at Duncan's peaceful slumber. It was early morning, and you had a long list of errands to run, but Duncan, being the quintessential night owl, was reluctant to leave the cozy confines of your shared bed.

"Babe," you whispered, gently shaking him. "Time to wake up."

However, he did not budge. You didn't want to give in to his laziness, so you sat up and straddled his waist with a mischievous grin.

"Fine, will this wake you up?" you asked, your voice playful as you leaned close to his ear. "We've got a lot to do today, and staying in bed isn't an option."

Duncan groaned, his eyes fluttering open as he squinted against the morning light. "Ugh, can't we just skip all the boring stuff and just chill here?"

Chuckling softly, you shook your head. "Nice try, but no can do. We've got important errands, remember?"

His lips curled into a smirk, and he tugged you closer. "Oh, I remember alright. But couldn't we start the day with a little more... intimacy?"

You rolled your eyes, attempting to maintain your determined façade. "Nice try, bad boy, but I won't be swayed so easily."

As if on cue, Duncan reached up, gently tracing his fingers along your jawline, his touch sending shivers down your spine. "Come on, just a few more minutes. I promise it'll make the day so much better."

You sighed, torn between giving in to his tempting proposition and sticking to your plans.

"I appreciate the offer," you began, your tone firm yet affectionate, "but we really need to get going. We've got groceries to buy, bills to pay, and a whole list of chores waiting for us."

Duncan's teal eyes narrowed, a glint dancing within them. "Alright, babe, you win this round. But only because I know how much you love crossing things off your to-do list."

You smirked, leaning down to peck his lips lightly before getting off of him. "That's right, D. Now, get up and let's tackle this day together."

Duncan grumbled mockingly, feigning annoyance as he reluctantly sat up. Stretching his arms above his head, he yawned dramatically before finally swinging his legs over the side of the bed. "Fine, fine. But I reserve the right to complain about it every step of the way."

You chuckled, knowing his grumpy demeanor was all part of his charm. "Deal. Just remember, it's all about compromise. I'll make sure we have plenty of time for cuddling later, alright?"

Duncan grinned, wrapping his arms around your waist and pulling you close to him. "You've got yourself a deal, sweetheart."
