A/N

I'm heading off to college this week so I'm posting as much as I can before my schedule gets busy

Prompt:

As you walked into the bustling coffee shop, the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee greeted your senses. It was your usual routine to stop by this cozy little place on your way to work, and today was no exception. You waited patiently in line, observing the eclectic mix of customers ahead of you, each with their own unique quirks and idiosyncrasies.

Finally, it was your turn to order. You stepped up to the counter and caught a glimpse of the barista who would be crafting your morning pick-me-up. It was none other than Noah, the barista with sarcastic wit.

"Good morning," Noah greeted you with a half-hearted smile. "What can I get for you today?"

You placed your usual order, a caramel macchiato with an extra shot of espresso, and watched as Noah expertly prepared it. His movements were slow and deliberate, his snarky comments amusing you with each interaction.

As Noah handed you your coffee, you turned around to find a bustling crowd behind you. In your haste, you accidentally bumped into a woman, causing her to spill her own cup of coffee all over herself. It was Courtney, a customer who was notorious for being bossy, especially to the coffee shop staff.

"Oh, great! Just what I needed," Courtney fumed, her voice dripping with anger and frustration. "Look what you've done!"

You stammered an apology, feeling a mix of embarrassment and guilt. Courtney stormed off, not even giving you a chance to explain or offer assistance. You sighed, feeling terrible about the incident.

Suddenly, Noah interjected, his dry sense of humor cutting through the tension. "Well, congratulations. You've officially pissed off Courtney, the queen of coffee shop tantrums."

You couldn't help but chuckle at Noah's remark, grateful for his attempt to lighten the mood. As you began to leave, Noah handed you a slip of paper with his number scribbled on it.

"Call me if you need someone to handle any more coffee-related emergencies," he quipped, a sly smirk finding its way to his face.

You smiled and nodded, appreciating the gesture.

Questions to keep in mind as you envision yourself interacting with Noah and Courtney:

Have you ever interacted with Noah or Courtney before? Have you seen how Courtney treats the coffee shop staff? What do you think of Noah? Are you going to text/call him? How old are you in this scenario? If you don't like caramel macchiatos, what kind of coffee/drink do you like?
