Cass's mind was nowhere close to sleep. Tomorrow she'd get all glamoured up for an interview just to get put in the arena the following day. It wasn't fair. None of what was happening to any of them was fair.

She turned onto her other side, loudly sighing. She needed to sleep. She needed to sleep more than anything because the second those cannons went off, sleep would be the least of her worries. A sliver of light shone through her curtains, forcing her to open her eyes again.

She brought both hands up to them, rubbing her eyes with the back of her palms. Maybe if she did it long enough, it would fool her into thinking she was tired. After three seconds, Cass's arms dropped back down to the comforter, her eyes fluttering closed.

All she had to do was be still and hope her mind would shut down. She lay there in her bed, pushing every thought and worry to the back of her head. Exhaustion eventually took over, causing her to finally fall asleep.

But her mind hadn't shut down like she'd wanted it to. No, her mind was plagued by her past, memories pouring into her dreams like a heavy downfall. If she wanted peace, she wasn't going to be getting it tonight.

Because the nightmares had already begun.

Cass stared at the screen in front of her, anticipation coursing through her veins. It'd been almost three days since her little brother had formed an alliance with Johanna, four tributes having been killed since. She wanted to trust the girl from District 7, but something was telling her not to.

Despite everything she felt, though, they had protected each other. And it was horrible to think it, but she only hoped that when it came down to it, Kai would win.

"Okay, so there's two other tributes left." Finnick voiced, keeping his gaze on another set of screens. "Dax from District 1 and Atlas from District 3. They're both alone. No alliance."

"That's good. Two to one odds." Cass nodded her head.

"They've also been stuck in the storm, which means they'll need cover. Johanna and Kai left an hour ago, so when or if they find that cave, they'll have been long gone." He paused, glancing at Peia's fear-ridden eyes. "He's doing good. He's one of the last tributes, P. They know how many people are left; they'll take care of them."

"That's not what I'm worried about." She responded, turning to him. "The second both of them die, it's only Johanna and him left in that arena. And we watched her, Finn. She's ruthless. They're protecting each other now, but the second those cannons go off, it's a dog fight."

"I know. And Kai will win." Finnick reassured her. "He's gotten the most drops out of anyone and Johanna is injured. He can beat her."

Cass let out a breath and nodded her head. He was right. Kai would be fine. She turned back to The Games, her eyes following her little brother. Johanna was limping behind him, both on their guard.
