Finnick jabbed his fork into the poultry on his tray, eyes narrowing at Lily and Rhett. The more than happy couple sat across from him, while Sawyer attended a meeting with President Coin and the rest of the protection squadron. Of all the times to abandon him, why did it have to be now?

He let out a sigh, dropping his utensil with a clang. "You know, you guys have been together, like, five years now, so I don't know why being married for four days changes anything."

Lily's smile faltered, her brow knitting together. "All right, what's wrong?"

"Nothing." Finnick shrugged his shoulders. "You guys are just acting like your entire relationship is better or something. I don't like it."

Rhett's face contorted. "Well, it's a good thing you don't have to like it." He paused, letting out a breath. "Sorry if it's a lot."

"You know, it wouldn't be a lot if you guys didn't look at each other with those eyes and kiss every waking second." Finnick pointed out.

"Oh, you mean how you were with my sister?"

Lily threw her elbow into Rhett's side, causing him to groan. "Both of you— stop being dicks. We're all family, remember? Does any of that mean anything to either of you? Seriously." She let out a huff of air and placed a hand on her stomach. "Get down off your thrones and quit acting like everything's a damn competition."

There was a pause.

Lily lifted her head, eyeing both of them.

"Yes, ma'am." They both said in unison.

"Good." She acknowledged, grimacing slightly. "If this kid kicks my bladder one more time, I'm gonna lose my mind."

Finnick snickered, picking up his fork again.

"Oh, you think that's funny?" Lily countered, raising her brow.

"No. No, definitely not." Finnick paused. "But your kid, he's gonna have quite the personality."

Rhett grinned, entirely unaware of the insult as Lily patted his chest. "That'll be because of him."

"What?" Rhett quipped, eyes snapping to hers. "What is that supposed to mean?"

Before either of them had a chance to respond, an alarm blared through the speakers. It abruptly fell silent inside the cafeteria, no one saying a word. Rhett, Lily, and Finnick watched as everyone stood, swiftly making their way out of the room.

"This is a code red alert." A voice sounded over the intercom.

At that, Rhett grabbed her arm, helping her up. "Come on. We gotta go. Right now."

Finnick was at their side in moments, staying a step behind Lily. "Where's Sawyer?"

"I don't know." Rhett replied, keeping hold of his wife's hand.
