Sawyer's fork dug into his meat, the beef attaching to the metal prongs. He lifted the food up to his mouth, taking a bite of the average meal that had been prepared for all of District 13. His eyes subsequently narrowed, taking note of his soon to be daughter in law's untouched tray.

"Not a big fan of peas?" He questioned.

Lily turned her attention to him, gaze shifting slightly to the right. "I'm nauseous. And pregnant, remember?"

"Oh, I think we both remember." Rhett murmured, poking down at his mashed potatoes.

Lily's brow raised as she turned to face him completely. "What was that?"

Sawyer simply chuckled, taking a sip of his water.

Rhett lifted his head, mouth dropping open at her. "Nothing. I don't—I didn't say anything."

Lily blinked once at him. Then twice. "Good. Because I don't think you'd survive having a baby grow inside of you with nothing but rubbery meat and cold peas to eat, not to mention the morning sickness."

"Cheers." Sawyer agreed, lifting his glass.

Lily clinked hers against it before the two of them took sips.

Rhett's eyes shifted from her to his dad, a dumbfounded expression crossing his face. "This is my absolute worst nightmare. I can't have both of you turning on me."

"Then you better start listening to your dear old dad." Sawyer voiced, shaking his head out of amusement. "What did I tell you was the secret to keeping your woman happy?"

Lily turned to Rhett, resting her chin in her palm. This would be good.

He rolled his eyes. "She's always right. Always."

"Atta boy." Sawyer cheered, a smile lifting his mouth.

"Now that we've all been reminded of what's important," Lily began, turning back to face both men. "I have news. The doctor said we'd be able to find out the gender by next week."

Rhett's dark eyes flickered with jubilation, a grin flying onto his face. "You're kidding. Already?"

"I am seventeen weeks." She pointed out.

Sawyer let out a laugh, his expression essentially matching his son's. "I'm gonna be a grandpa."

Rhett turned back to the front. "I'm gonna be a—"

"Yeah, yeah. Sure." He interjected, waving his hand at him. "But I'm gonna have a grandbaby." He reiterated, his smile unwavering. His eyes locked onto Lily's, lighting up in excitement. "I vote Sawyer for the name. I mean, it's gender neutral and—"

"We're not naming our baby Sawyer." Lily stated, letting out a quiet laugh. "Nice try though."

"You do realize it's our baby, right?" Rhett asked, eyes solely focused on his father.
