pomegranate stains
my teeth and tongue and handswe buy the freshest
strawberries and raspberries
and i pick tomatoes with my grandma
in her gardenyou give me a bouquet of roses
and a promise of love
you're enough, enough, enough
and your cheeks blushwe sit around a fire,
breathing in the warmthanger taints my vision
i spit out blood and
hold out my fists for anotherit's fall, and all around me
the leaves fall
crisp under my feetyou see the world through
rose colored glasses,
tint the world your huei would have drowned in red
if it meant
i could see the color forever━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
i'm so normal about this color (read as: oh my god i love red i want to consume the color)
