i wonder if you went outside to see it

you were closer to the path of totality then me
and my favorite band released a new song
it makes me think of you
i wonder if you have listened to it
i wonder if you still listen to them after me
or if their songs are all tainted
and you still follow me on pinterest
i wonder if you look at my profile sometimes
i wonder if you scroll through my boards
like i occasionally do for you
and one day i will wake up in my bed
the weight on my chest will be lifted
i won't be thinking about you anymore
i wonder how long that will take
