drifting aimlessly
with no end in sight,
throwing punches and
getting in fightsthe stars glow above
and i am hopelessly
falling out of loveanxiety eats at me
so that i act out every
moment in my mind
a million times
until i get it righti can't talk to you
but you can talk to memy mouth goes dry
my chest goes numb
and i end up feeling really
dumbpluto is too far away
and the sun is way too warm
earth houses bumblebee swarms
so i guess we'll have to stayi'm staying up late
and i'm not doing great
but i'll leave it up to fatesipping coffee out of glass mugs
consuming love like a drug
when all i really want is a hugthe solar system
spins above our shoulders
every day we just get oldersaturn has the prettiest rings
but only on earth can birds
flap their wings
and neptune is a lovely blue
but the problems will always ensuewe build our own solar systems
right here on the ground,
just messing around
with the foxes and the houndswind blows through the trees
and echoes the pleas
of many fallen leavesthe seasons change
and i along with them
and one day
i'll feel lighter againbut until then
i'll collect these planet pieces
and place them all together
so my heart is a patchwork quilt
of the cosmos i look up togod, i'm still in love with you.
