But Not our story

"When did I start bickering with you?" Hyunsuk whispered to himself.

"Yeah, you didn't, but still" Hyunsuk looked at Jihoon with wide eyes. Oh, he heard.
"First of all, I am sorry Choi for the... the kiss, and secondly I wanted to ask about the rumors..." Jihoon took a deep breath and glanced at Hyunsuk. The smaller male felt Pang in his heart. Yes, he was mad at Jihoon but did he mention it was never because of the Kiss? Hyunsuk sighs, If he was being shameless right now like how people thought he was then he would speak out loud that he loved the kiss. 

"What rumors?" Hyunsuk fidgets his finger, a habit of his whenever he is sad or nervous. 

"Are you dating someone?" Jihoon asked and turned his body towards Hyunsuk. The smaller male's eyes shoot toward Jihoon. 
"What?? Do they think I am dating too?? I never heard this rumor about myself tho?" Jihoon lets out an airy chuckle. 
"So you do know about the talks and still asking?" 
"Of Course, I'll have to ask which one are you talking about, there are many. If you are talking about a particular one, how am I supposed to know? Jihoon pressed his lips in a thin line. 
They went silent after the sudden outburst of Hyunsuk. It was almost 9 which meant some people were either inside their tents or some went back which was obvious by the quiet air. They didn't know how to continue this conversation. For Hyunsuk it was a sensitive topic that he didn't want to share or talk about and For Jihoon It was embarrassing and a lil disgusting, maybe that is why he unintentionally hated his Ex-bsf and Ex-crush.  Hyunsuk can read the surroundings pretty well and he knows, This is going nowhere near good. "Neither you nor I am ready to speak up on this, In my opinion, we should speak once we are comfortable enough. We didn't speak for a year maybe? and now that we are talking we can't just jump on the most sensitive topic first. Park Jihoon if you are this dumb then I don't know how you'll bring your Mate to be comfortable with you." Yeah, Hyunsuk accepts the last line was unnecessary but he can't help He really does think Jihoon is dumb.

"Well, I didn't know to state whether the rumors are true or False was a Sensitive topic And to be honest Choi Hyunsuk, This is what I was talking about, you can never talk without annoying me," Jihoon argues with an offended look on his face. 

"Wahh Tch, Must be so nice of you to keep talking to me then?! Hmm??" The smaller male stood up and stomped to the tent, Sitting on the already set blanket they rented, zoning out. The memory of all these times when he suffered comes back to him. There was a time when he looked like he lost all zest for life. He used to spend day after day sitting at home depressed,
with Zero to no sleep at all. He would spend his night changing positions on the bed, overthinking, crying, and blaming himself for everything. He thought he went crazy but there's a saying "One real person is enough" and that's what happened when after almost 3 months of depressed Hyunsuk met Soobin. Just a normal guy who turned out to be his senior too. Soobin was a normal convenient store cashier, and he did nothing but just one evening he asked Hyunsuk "Are you ok?" And when Hyunsuk smiled and shrugged while saying he is ok he got the reply "Are you sure? You don't look ok?" That was enough for Hyunsuk to break down in front of the stranger guy. We can say Soobin took care of Hyunsuk like his own brother. They both shared their problems and gossiped with each other about their teachers and some students, But mostly it was Hyunsuk speaking and Soobin listening. They spent some nights watching movies, singing, and having late-night snacks at each other's place. Now he missed Soobin like crazy, They just checked on each other yesterday but it felt like years since they talked to each other. 

Hyunsuk brought out his phone and called the only person he calls usually other than his Mom. After just 3 rings Soobin picked up the phone. "Hello," The older male said in a sleepy voice. 
Hyunsuk smiled to himself "Why are you sleeping right now Hyung? It's so early~" Hyunsuk speaks in a cute voice, It was as if he has now developed a habit of talking to the older in a cute voice. 

"Eh? Early? I studied the whole day so I was just tired. what about you?" Hyunsuk chuckled sadness lacing his voice. 
"You did well Hyungiee~ I missed you Hyung....so I called you" 
"Did something happen Suk?" Now Soobin sounded more awake and serious. Hyunsuk feels at home just by the protectiveness in his voice. 
"Aniyaaa~~" Hyunsuk looked up when he saw someone standing in front of him, Who else if not Park Jihoon with a pissed face just to destroy Hyunsuk's mood. The smaller guy let out a deep sigh and turned around facing his back to Jihoon. 
"Hyung, uhm Let's talk tomorrow okay?" Even tho he wanted to talk to Soobin he would rather not especially in front of Jihoon. "Mmh Byee, Sleep well~ Good night!" Hyunsuk still had a smile on his face cuz at least The older male didn't ask further and just agreed to cut the call. 

The awkward silence surrounded them unknowingly making them frustrated over it. 
"I can here to talk to you not sit around and do nothing" Jihoon finally breaks the ice with his annoyed tone. 
"We can't just talk about it right now" Jihoon frowned but cleared his throat and spoke again. 
"Hii My name is Park Jihoon, I am a second-year Law student, I am in the sports club more specifically the Swimming team. It's nice meeting you" Hyunsuk looked at the hand on his side out for a handshake. 
"And why you suddenly decided to be friends with me?" Hyunsuk asked in a lazy tone. 
"Well since you still didn't introduce yourself we can't be friends just yet" 
Hyunsuk gulped and took the hand "I am Choi Hyunsuk, Also a second-year student, Wah what a coincidence" Hyunsuk roles his eyes after the horrible act. 
"Exactly! That's why I am also Annoyed Choi, You've been acting like we don't know each other" Hyunsuk slowly turned to Jihoon with one brow raised. 
"Acted?" he huffed and turned his whole body now facing Jihoon. "I think we are the same then?" he bats his eyelashes and speaks up again leaving Jihoon Speechless at the tone of the latter "Man! You ignored me like you never knew me! You made me look like a total stranger at first! And in all honesty, Jihoon If I was being like how you are saying then maybe I would have been at my place after denying your offer. Do you even know what you are talking about? You gave me a cold shoulder when I thought maybe you can look back at me and take my apology. Do you know how many times I approached you?" Jihoon swallowed the lump 

"C-choi I was...was mad-" 

"Mad of What!? What exactly?? That you were being ignored or that I made some cheap friends out of nowhere?" 

"I Was Just Worried Okay!!" Jihoon yelled back

"Then why!? Why were you not worried after you left me alone!" Tears started streaming down his eyes making them glittery. "Do you know what I went through?" He started sobbing loudly not being able to continue talking. Jihoon scoots closer and takes the fragile man in his arms trying to comfort him. "You left me Jihoon-" the smaller male choked on his sobs and hit Jihoon's chest blaming him for each and every bad thing. "I- Hate you Hoon" Jihoon nods. 

"It's ok, we can work on it too" Jihoon replied while caressing his hair softly. 


after a few mins of sobbing and whispering some inaudible words Hyunsuk finally calmed down and leaned more on Jihoon. "After you left, so much happened Jihoon, You have no idea. Y-...Yoshi pretended to be my good friend and started taking me out to clubs regularly, every day I came back home and regretted that I fought with you. After a few days, Yoshi took me out late at night and we went to that bar's lobby for what Yoshi said Private party in one of those rooms there. He led me to a room at the very corner and Made me enter first, when I did I saw 4 big people sitting inside and when I entered it was as if I became the subject of interest for each one of them...I looked back to see Yoshi didn't enter and locked the door instead. I knew immediately that I was in trouble. I ran out somehow and reported to the police after which Yoshi and His boyfriend with those people got in jail for several things. I took a 1-month break from college and tried to calm down but nothing worked I was just over it. I hated to phase sane people cuz I thought they would end up knowing and making fun of me so instead I started getting wasted and sometimes going around having fun. After 3 months I stopped...But the rumors still got out and including you everyone believed it." Hyunsuk softly pushed Jihoon and lay down. His back facing the male who was too shocked to speak a word just staring at the laying male, How did he go through it and No one ever knew? He felt dizzy by all the sudden Information.
