Seventeen

✨Damian✨

I was now seated in a meeting with my men discussing whatever agenda we will place on the table for the Americans. I requested Enzo to proceed with the meeting after giving him an excuse of how I was not feeling well at the moment, but that was far from it.
My mind wandered off to Myra and the kiss we shared just a few hours ago, It felt terrific, her lips on mine and her hands around my neck, I couldn't wait to have more of her.
I looked past what Enzo was presenting to the other men.
I had told her, I was divorced, but not yet. I will be divorced soon and if Marina does not sign those papers, I will make her sign them. Plus whoever is engaged to Myra. I wished I had more information about her fiancee but I knew nothing and I couldn't ask her about him, but I could deal with that.
When I told her to think about everything, I made a selfish move, I knew she was engaged, and telling her that would put her also in a fix, but I just wanted Myra for myself, and with my situation, I can not get her. Hell. I cursed out loud.
"Dam... Boss, are you okay?" Enzo asked. I did not realize I cursed out loud.
"I.. Yes... I am. Proceed." I said. I stood from my seat and excused myself walking outside of the meeting room.
I removed my phone and dialed Robert's number. He picked it up immediately.
"Yes, yes boss." He said.
"Bring the papers now to my office, I cannot wait any longer," I said. Walking to my office.
"Yes, sir I am on the way," Robert said and I put the receiver down. After that I dialed Marina's number, I told her to come to the office with her dad and shortly they were both there. I had requested my nanny to join us and also Enzo and Andrea. They both came in a while after dismissing the meeting.
Robert arrived with the papers and set them down, I did not go through them because I knew what was in there. I signed my name on it and handed the papers to Marina.
"Sign your name Marina, I cannot wait any longer because nothing is going to change my decision," I said. Her father grabbed the papers and scanned through them.
"This is rubbish, Damian." He said throwing the papers on the table.
"Do you know what is rubbish?" My nanny asked. "You trying to put it like your daughter is not the problem here, and we would all like to know why, her divorce with Damian is working you out." She added.
"This doesn't involve you, Malena. You know nothing." Leonardo said.
"I would like to know what you mean after she signs these papers," I said angrily. "Marina," I said and handed her the papers.
"Damian I do not want a divorce." She said tears welling up in her eyes. I handed her the pen, they were both wasting my time. I had so many problems to deal with and I would be happy to get rid of her. She took the pen with shaking hands.
"Don't do it, Marina," Leonardo said, eyeing her. But I was glad that she was not listening and she went on putting her sign on the papers. I was relieved. I took the papers and gave them to Robert.
"Is that what you wanted?" Marina yelled. "I have given you want you wanted, but I promise you Damian, you will never find peace as long as I live on this earth." She said and run out of the office. Leonardo just looked at me and shook his head before following his daughter. I slumped on my chair and let out a sigh of relief, finally, It had been done.

"I will take copies of the papers and the original ones, you will be left with them," Robert said standing up ready to leave and I just nodded.
"I will leave the three of you alone, I am going to see if Marina is packing her things," Nanny said and she also left. Enzo locked the door behind her.
"Okay, so what is next?" Enzo asked, pulling a seat to sit in front of me.
I shrugged.
"What happened between the two of you? You and your therapist. It seemed like she had something to do with what has just happened now." Enzo inquired.
I explained to them what had happened earlier in the morning and everything I knew about Myra.
"So she's engaged?" Andrea asked. "Do you want us to find out who this person is?" He asked.
"No, there is nothing plus I have not asked her about the guy," I said.
"Wow, Damian, so you really like this girl," Enzo asked and I nodded. I liked Myra from the day I met her and when we kissed, it made me realize just how much I am drawn to her and I am not giving up any chance to be with her, even if she's engaged.
"I have never seen you like this, lost in the world of love," Enzo said. "Not even with Marina." He added.
"Maybe she was just not the one," I said. She was just not the one. I thought.
We discussed a few things about what they had been discussing in the meeting, and still learning about the Americans and also their strength and weaknesses.
We planned to be prepared for anything and the strategies we would use just in case something happens, we could be ambushed by the police or even the Americans.

I was expecting Myra's message, a phone call, or an email, but she had not sent me anything. After we met with Enzo and Andrea, I was left alone to just think. I was sure and I have never been this sure, that Myra was the woman I wanted, and I wanted to know more about her, I was also convinced that she feels the same way but her engagement was the hindrance, making her have second thoughts. I understood that, if only I knew who this guy was, placing a gun on his head and telling him to leave her alone would be nice and easy or even erasing him from the face of the world. Hell, I would do anything to just get her.
I decided to go and take a shower to relax since one of my problems was already done with. I hoped Marina will not be a problem to me, but if she decides to be, it wouldn't be anything I couldn't deal with.
