Damian's pov
We walked back to the house, had dinner, and went to sleep. I was glad I spent some time with Myra it reminded me of all the good times we had had together before the incident happened.
Although I had told her not to pressure herself with trying to remember what had happened between us and also other things, in all honesty, I just wished she would remember quickly. But I'll just be patient with her.
Tomorrow I plan on taking her to the cottage house, that is where we spent most of our times together and I hoped that, that place would bring some memories back.
I watched her while she was asleep. She was still beautiful. Nothing had changed except that she couldn't remember anything.

Morning came, and we had our breakfast. I was glad Enzo and Andrea were taking part in making her remember some things. I watched as they were talking and laughing and it felt good to have her back. I drank my cup of coffee slowly and sat on the chair to just look at them.
"Are you okay Damian?" Nanny asked. I hadn't even heard her coming.
"Yeah, I am, I am just worried about things," I said, not removing my eyes from Myra.
Nanny pulled a seat next to me and put her hands around my shoulder.
"It's going to be okay son. We just have to be hopeful and also have faith. Remember?" She said and I nodded.
"Give her time, she will remember everything eventually," Nanny said and I nodded, she was right. There was nothing I could do right now. I'll just wait.
"I want to take her to my parents' house, I think it will I'll help her a lot," I said and she nodded.
"Take all the time you want, to be with her, show her the love she knew before she was hospitalized." She said and I agreed.
It was later in the afternoon and I decided that it was the best time to take Myra to see that place. I drove slowly showing her the surroundings until we arrived at the house.
"Wow, this place is beautiful." She said, genuinely amazed.
"Yes it is and this is where we had our first sexual encounter," I said she looked at me with widened eyes.
"In this place?" She asked. And I nodded.
"Wow, it's amazing." She said again, now looking around. I took her hand and led her to the stream we had once played at. We removed our shoes and stepped into the water.
"It feels relaxing." She said.
"Yeah, we once came here and I felt the same way," I said remembering how we had played with water. I threw some water in her direction and she yelped.
"It's so cold." She said ducking, and she did the same to me. And we went on with the play for a while until we decided to rest. We lay on the grass, the weather was warm and it felt nice to be out here laying on the grass under the sun.
"You are so beautiful," I said, her dark skin was glowing under the sun and she looked like a goddess.
She turned to look at me.
"Do you want to remind me how our first kiss was?" She asked.
"You want that?" I asked and she nodded. I smiled and pulled her close to me and hovered over her lightly.
I started by placing kisses on her neck before bringing my mouth to hers. She pulled me close, and the kiss was deepening but she abruptly stopped.
" What's wrong my love?" I asked, pulling away. It seemed like she was frozen and tears welled in her eyes.
"What's wrong? Did I take it too far?" I asked.
"No, no." She said, shaking her head and sat up.
"I remember," She said. "Damian, I remember." She repeated.
I also sat up.
"You do? What do you remember." I asked feeling overwhelmed by emotions.
"Everything." She said. And she broke down. I pulled her close to me.
"I remember everything," she repeated. I did not know what to say at the time, I just let my emotions flow and we cried together, I was happy, she remembered.
"I am so sorry I was not able to protect you just like I had promised," I said, wiping her tears.
"It's okay, Damian, you have done a lot for me, you did a lot for me back then and that was enough." She said.
"I promise I will never let anything happen to you again," I said. Kissing her on the head.
We returned to the cottage and spent the rest of the time, telling her how things had been when she was not conscious.
"What happened to Griffin?" She asked.
"He died," I said.
"Oh." She said.
"Don't feel bad about it, he deserved that," I said reassuring her. And she nodded.
We decided to call my nanny, Enzo, and Andrea and tell them about the news and shortly they all came to the house.
They brought with them drinks and I was glad they did that. I had been tense for months and I needed to loosen up and just relax. My nanny made us some food and we were all seated at the table just talking and laughing. I excused myself to add some drinks to the table.
"Son," Nanny said, behind me and I turned to look at her.
"Yes, nanny do you need something," I asked.
"No, but I have something to give to you." She said. She dug into her purse and removed a box, then she handed it to me.
"What is this?" I asked, scrutinizing the box and she nodded urging me to open it. And I did, in, there were two rings.
"It was your mother's and father's." She said.
"Really?" I asked. And she nodded.
"You did not give them to me when I married Marina," I asked.
"Yeah, I just did what your parents requested me. They said I give those rings to you when I feel like you have found the right person." She said.
I smiled at the gesture they did, if only they were around to see Myra, they would love her so much and I was glad nanny kept these rings safely, and patiently waited for me to find the right person.
"Thank you, nanny," I said, tears threatening to stream from my eyes.
"Thank you for keeping them safe, and until this day," I said hugging her.
"It's nothing, I am just glad you found her and that you are genuinely happy. When are you going to give her?" she asked.
"I was thinking about it, and I think this might be the right time," I said.
"Go for it, son." She said patting me on the shoulders and I nodded, wiping the tears away. I placed the box safely in my pocket and we both went in to join the others.
The small party went on for a while and later they all decided to go back home, leaving me and Myra.
****
"That was amazing, I am glad they came," Myra said, slumping on the chair.
"Yeah me too," I said giving her a cup of water she had asked for.
"Thank you." She said. She turned around to look at me.
"Damian?" she said.
"Yes," I said.
"Am I going to still get that tattoo of your name?" She asked. I placed my cup down.
"No, I actually have another plan," I said.
"Really? What is it?" She asked and I removed the box my nanny had given me and took out the ring that belonged to my mom, and I knelt in front of her. Her eyes widened with surprise, she placed her cup down and looked intently at me.
"Myra, you are the best thing that has ever happened to me, and since you came into my world, I have never felt genuinely happy, loved, and appreciated. Thank you for making me want to love again, thank you for bringing the best out of me. I know I have hurt you in many ways, and I am so sorry for that and I will spend the rest of my life making up to you. So I ask, will you allow me to do that and will you be my Mafia Queen?"
Myra's pov
"Yes, I will," I said tears streaming from my eyes, they were tears of happiness and joy I knew I could trust Damian and I truly loved him and I also knew he was the one I would want to spend the rest of my life with.
He put the ring on my finger.
"Thank you." He said.
"Thank you." I also said and we wiped each other's tears.
"Been crying a lot recently." He confessed.
"Happy tears?" I asked and he nodded, chuckling
"Should we go to the bedroom," I asked tugging at the hem of his shirt.
He smirked "Oh, Yes." he pulled me helping me up from the couch and we both disappeared down the hallway that lead to the bedroom.
