Nyx and N sat in the older's bed, Nyx leaning against his chest, their back to him. They chatted mindlessly, the moon had risen just as Nyx had woke up, but they forced N to keep playing with their hair as they sat together.
"I texted him back earlier.."
N froze, look at them. "What?"
"My friend. I texted him back." They whispered, going silent. They opened their mouth and closed it again a few times before speaking up.
"He wasn't mad. He called me stupid though..."
"What?" N deadpanned.
The younger turned back to face him. "No no we insult each other all the time! He's my best friend," they pause. "Other than you and Leafeon and the rest of my team, that is.. But you guys are more like family."
N smiles softly at them. They had turned back to their original position, leaning against him. His brows furrowed.
"Nyx, I have a question, and if you don't want to answer it, it's fine."
