Matt's POV

When I saw that Mari was calling, I ignored it. I didn't want to talk to her after what happened. I planned to stay at Wes's and Josh's place, seeing as how I obviously didn't want to go back to the apartment. After Mari tried to call me, I sat down at my desk so I could play some GTA. As soon as I sat down, I heard an ambulance speed by. "Woah. Did you hear that" David asked. He could clearly hear it through his headphones, so I had to look. I walked over to the window just before the ambulance was out of view. The car speeding after it looked awfully familiar. Then I realized that it was Mari's car. Why was she driving so unbelievably fast behind some random ambulance. I sat back down and looked at my phone. What if the call had to do with the ambulance. I listen to it and almost dropped it. "Wes could you give me a ride to the hospital"? "Yeah why". "I'll tell you in the car". We walked out into the parking ramp. I was walking a little faster than he was though. "Matt slow down. Why so fast". "Lexi had to be taken to the hospital. She collapsed again, but she wouldn't wake up". He looked at me with a look of worry. Now that I know that he loves Lexi so much, I can see why he would look hurt. That's how I felt about Mari before Lexi was born. I would do anything to protect her, and when she went into her coma, I felt like I didn't do enough. "Wes don't worry. She's going to be ok". I could see him wiping away tears. We got in the car and drove off. When we reached the hospital, I asked if he wanted to come in with me. "Of course". We walked in, and who did I immediately see? Mari. She had her face in her hands, crying. I ran over to her and sat down. "It's ok Mari. I'm here". She looked up at me, and I could tell that she had been crying for a while. "Matt. Why are you here". "She's my daughter too. I had to be there for her". We stood up and she gave me a hug. Man did this seem familiar. I hugged her back and stroked her hair. "Shh. It's ok. She'll be ok". "Mari Sohinki". We walked over to where the doctor was. "You must be her husband". He shook my hand as I introduced myself. "Do I know you from somewhere" he asked me. "Yeah. I think it was like, six years ago. Mari was in a coma and I was with her the whole time". "Oh right. I thought the last name looked familiar". "How's Lexi". "She's doing good. We're going to keep her here overnight just to be safe". Knowing that she's doing better, I can relax. But I just hope this can last.
