Chapter 40

Mari's POV

We brought Lexi home a week after she woke up. She had to carry an oxygen tank just in case. Good thing they put in an elevator. We walked into the apartment, that had been left untouched for three months. Of course, the first thing we did was pull out the video games. We played every game we could. Every time I looked over at Lexi, her face was all smiles. The smiles that disappeared for three months. The guys still don't know that she's awake, but we wanted to keep it a secret. Even the fans don't know.

Matt's POV

The next Monday morning, we drove over to the office. When we walked through the doors, we were immediately greeted. When they saw Lexi, they freaked out. "Don't tell the rest of the crew". They nodded. We walked up to the elevators, me and Mari holding one of Lexi's hands. We rode the elevator up to our floor, coming up with a plan to surprise them. Halfway through the ride, Lexi said that she had this.

Lexi's POV

We got off the elevator and walked up to the office door. Dad peeked in and saw that all the guys were in the office. I took a deep breath and opened the door. None of them noticed us. "Hey guys" I said. Wes looked over at us and ran over to me. Then, one by one, the guys looked up and saw me. Wes picked me up and swung me around. I laughed and gave him a big hug. I got all of the hugs. Talk about a germ fest. Wes never let me go. "You're never doing that to me again. Ok". I nodded, pretending I was scared. "Grab the camera. We have a video to do" Ian yelled. We set up and got ready to record. I went out into the hall until they called me in. After 5 minutes, I was called in. "Hey guys! Did you miss me?". Everybody laughed. "Yes. The Smosh Games daughter is back after a three month absence. Don't ask were she was, or prepare for tears" David said. It felt nice to be back surrounded by cameras, family, friends, fans, all the things I missed. We waved goodbye at the end of the video and turned the camera off. I received more hugs after we were finished. Life was great again, and nothing could change that.
