Mari's POV
Matt started to the hospital. I stared out the window, thinking. Once again we lied to Lexi about something. And we have been telling her that lying is bad. 20 minutes later, we were walking up to the hospital. I was holding Lex's hand on our way to see Wes. When we reached his room, I bent down to look Lexi in the eyes. "Now when we see him, you have to be gentle. Just like with Lucky. Ok". She nodded and grabbed my hand. We walked in and immediately, Wes looked over at us. Lexi saw him and ran over to him. He reached his arms out to grab her. I could hear her crying, and Wes trying to calm her down. I almost had tears, but I had to be strong for them. "Did you not know I was here". She shook her head and continued crying. Wes looked over at us. I looked at Matt and he said "we'll tell him later". A couple minutes later, Lexi curled up next to him and fell asleep. "Hey guys. Long time no see". "Yeah. I know. We didn't want Lexi to know where we were going". "Why didn't you tell her about me". "We didn't want her to worry. I know some people who take things really badly. Lexi being one of them" Matt told him. "Oh that makes sense. I understand". He looked over at Lexi and started stroking her hair. "I've really missed her. It gets really lonely sometimes". "We wish we could bring her more often. The guys and the fans miss you. More than you think". I could see tears starting to form on the edge of his eyelids. I walked over and gave him a hug. "It's ok. Soon you'll be back and things can go back to normal". He nodded I saw a tear slide down his cheek. Lexi woke up and sat up. She looked up at her favorite Uncle and gave him a hug. Even Matt, who was standing by the window, had tears. We stayed for a few more hours, just talking. When Lexi looked like she was ready for bed, we started to leave. "See you tomorrow" I asked. Wes nodded and waved goodbye. Lexi, who was starting to fall asleep, waved her little hand back at him. We left, with me thinking all was right in the world.
