Lexi's POV
I walked into the school the next Monday, tired as ever. While I was walking in, I noticed a familiar light purple bag. "Raven". She turned around and looked at me. "Oh. Hey Lexi". "You need help finding your first class". "Yeah. The schools so big". I laughed. "You get used to it. What class do you have". She looked at her schedule. "Um gym". "Oh so do I. Come on I can show you". I thought I saw a smile, but the hood of her sweatshirt covered up most of her face. I was about to ask why she wears it like that, when Kacey and Shayna came up from behind me. "Hey what up girl". "Guys. Calm down". "Who's the new girl" Maddi asked, coming up from behind the others. "Guys. This is Raven. She moved into our building". The girls introduced themselves to her. 5 minutes later, the warning bell rang, sending us to our classes. Maddi and I leaded Raven to the gym. "Do you have a uniform". Raven searched through her bag and pulled out a black t-shirt, some exercise shorts and a pair of sneakers. I looked down at her feet and saw that she was wearing a pair of combat boots, very similar to mine. She saw the teacher and walked over to him, while Maddi and I went to go change. Sadly, we were done with the gymnastics unit, and we had moved on to dodgeball. The people in my gym class almost screamed when I first threw a ball. Thanks to softball, my throwing skills were better than anyone else's. After lasting through all of the other classes that I have before lunch, it finally showed up. Raven had found her own group of friends. During the conversation, the topic of crushes came up. "I know Lexi's crush" Kacey said happily. "Yeah thanks for that. Last night, I got a text from said boy". "Really?!" they said. I rolled my eyes. "Speak of the devil, here comes Drew and Zach". I looked down at my lunch to hide my blushing. "Hey Kara". We looked over at Zach, Drew's older brother, who went to go sit next to Kara. "Hey baby" Kara said, kissing Zach. Drew must have felt the same way about me, because he was also looking down at the table. He then reached over and tried to grab my hand. I looked over hesitantly, worried if he would use me or love me. Our eyes locked and I felt a connection. I could then hear the girls squealing like fangirls. "Somehow I knew it" Shayna exclaimed. We all laughed. The bell rang, forcing us to let go of each other's hands. I grabbed my backpack and walked out of the lunchroom alongside Drew. "I really like you Lexi". I looked over at him with a chunk of hair in front of my face. "I like you too". "Would you maybe like to go out on Saturday". "Yeah. I think we can make that happen". We parted ways when we reached my class. I waved goodbye and walked in, with the biggest smile on my face. "Hey Lexi. Why are you in such a good mood". I was brought back down to earth by Mandi. Ugh, her voice make me want to kill something. "Nothing". Of course, that made her talk in class, making me more annoyed. We got our tests back and my score made me smile even more. After class, I walked up to the teacher. "Sir, can I talk to you". "Of course Lexi". I took a deep breath. "Can I get a new seat. I can't stand sitting next to Mandi anymore". "Let me see what I can do. I am noticing these things in class. Thank you for asking". I walked out of the room and speed walked to the music room. My day got even better when I was chosen to sing the solo for the song we're singing. It happened to be one of my favorite songs, Flashlight By Jessie J. When Dad picked me up after school, I had the biggest smile on my face. "I take it you're day was good". "More than good".
