Chapter 16

Matt's POV

I was worried about Wes being in his accident. He and Lexi have a special bond, and this, Mari and I decided, she shouldn't know. "Hey we're going to check on Lexi". "Ok guys. Don't let us stop you". I looked over at Josh and Wes. Josh nodded, signalling for us to leave. As we were walking, Mari asked me a question. "Do you think there's something going on between Josh and Wes". I looked at her with a questioning look. "Why would you think that"? "Well think about it. They still live with each other, the hospital called Josh first, and he immediately ran over to him as soon as he walked into the room". "Well the first two things are related. They have been roommates since college, and I'm sure the hospital called Josh because he's probably Wes's emergency contact. But the third thing might be something". We ride the elevator in silence, holding hands the whole way. I look down at Mari, with a loving look. She looks up at me. "Why are you looking at me like that"? "Because you're beautiful". She leaned her head on my shoulder and I thought I could feel some tears coming down.

Mari's POV

When I leaned over onto Matt, I started to tear up. Whenever Matt says something like that, I always tear up, because all of my former boyfriends, Peter included, never said anything like it. They tried to say something like it, but it was never romantic. Matt always loved me. And I loved him back. We walk over to Lexi's room. She had her eyes open, staring at me. "I think you should go back downstairs. I don't want her to suspect anything". He kissed my cheek and walked back to the elevator. "Was that Daddy"? "No sweetie. Just a friend from school". I walk over to her and hugged her. "Am I still going to daycare"? "I don't know sweetie. I'm going to talk with Daddy about it. Go back to sleep". Lexi laid her head down, her black hair falling over her face. When Lexi started to get her features, she got my black hair, my eye shape, and my nose. From Matt, she got his eye color and that's about it. She's probably going to end up as tall as Matt. She's going to look cute either way.

A/N: Hey Cuties! Long time no talk. How are all of you? Can I ask you something? I am running low on ideas, and in the last story, I got a lot of ideas from you guys. But no death or injuries. Wes is already hurt and Lexi has her Arrhythmia. And I messed up on the definition of her condition. It is actually an improper beating of the heart, and it can make your heart either go too fast or too slow. I got that off of Google, but I got the idea from a commenter. No not either of my siblings. Would you like anymore ships in the story? I already have ianthony(sorry iancorn fans) and Marhinki(of course). Also, the updates might be a little spread apart for the next two weeks. I am going kn vacation, and I need wifi to write on my phone. Sorry for the delay of future updates.
