Part 11

The next day, I once again made my way to the sewers, but this time, it wasn't to find my still missing keys. It was to hang out with my new friends. Wow... That felt so nice to think :)

The first thing I had to do once I reached the lair was thank Donnie for the map he made cause I'd definitely be lost without it and that's what I did.

Once i stepped in the lair, I greeted the others and went straight to the lab.

⚪ "Morning Donnie!" I said upon entering

He turned around to see me, goggles covering his eyes.

🟣"Oh hey!" he smiled. "I didn't think you'd actually come back for a lesson"

⚪"Are you kidding? This stuff is so cool and besides- I never brake my promises"
(bro thinks she's rapunzel 💀💀)

⚪"So...what are you working on?"

🟣"I'm trying to make a super-drill for our combats. But it's still in beta and needs a looot of work to function the way I want it to" he sighed.

⚪"Do you think that maybe I could help?"

🟣"Do you know anything about engineering?" he raised his eyebrow.
Why is he the only one with eyebrows? 🤔 Anyway-

⚪"Well, wouldn't I be able to help if you taught me? After all, I'm here to be taught aren't I? And until I learn, I could just, idk, hand you the tools or something"

🟣"Wow, you really wanna know? It's the first time someone shows actual interest in my stuff" his face had lit up.

I empathized a lot with him in that moment. I knew what it felt like to have no one close to you with the same interest.

I honestly didn't know how to reply without being cringe, so I just raised my shoulders. But now that I'm looking back, that probably was cringe as well. oh well-

⚪"Shall we begin then?"

We literally spent hours in that lab. Triple checking the blueprints, trying to find the right tools under all the mess that was Donnie's lab, talking about our favorite activities, yk, bonding stuff. We might've spent all day in there hadn't Leo called us for dinner.

We start making our way to the kitchen, when an awful stench hits our noses.

⚪"Ugh, what is that?" I say in disgust while pinching my nose.

🟣*gags* "I guess Mikey made brussel sprouts again. God, I can't stand this smell"

⚪"Me neither. Wanna get out of here?"

🟣"You don't have to tell me twice"

We quickly run out of the sewers and stopped in a dark alley. We look at each other, not knowing what to do now.

🟣"And now what?"

⚪"Idk, what do you usually do for fun?"

🟣"Stay inside and not talk to anyone."

⚪"Relatable, but not helpful right now. We could go for pizza, but honestly the smell of whatever Mikey cooked made me lose my appetite."

🟣"Even if we wanted to do anywhere xwe couldn't. I mean, how're we gonna hide the fact I'm a giant turtle? I don't have anything to put on me"

⚪"I'd give you my hoodie but it's kinda cold. Sorry" I give him a crooked smile.

🟣"If I wasn't the person I am, I would've totally judged you. But I'd honestly do the same so.."

*Y/n giggles a bit*

⚪"Yk what? If we find a way to make it to my house I can lend you some clothes and we can go out. I would invite you to stay so we could chill there, but we wouldn't be alone and that's not ideal" I suggest.

🟣"That's a good idea actually."

⚪"But the question is, how do we get all the way to my house?"

Donnie looks at me with a devious look.

🟣"Have you ever jumped off rooves?"
(is that's how u spell the plural of "roof"?)

⚪"I think the fact that I'm here right now gives you an answer"

🟣"Well prepare to do that then"

⚪"Wait, wha-[cool montage of them running on rooftops and stuff and y/n being scared but also excited ig]

FINALLY we reached my building's fire escape. Girl, that was so scary but low key fun af. We get to my window and then in my room.
