Back At It Again

Once the weather calmed down and it was safe to roam the streets of NY, y/n and Donnie went to the roller rink.

They were skating, having fun, trying out new tricks. It was just like before all the unnecessary drama.

🟣"Hey y/n, my feet kinda hurt, wanna sit down for a sec?"

⚪"Right now? But I really wanna skate to this song." she said disappointed.

🟣"Alright, I'm gonna go sit at a table and I'll come back once I feel better"

⚪"Okay"

🟣"Do tou want me to get you something?" he asked while leaving.

⚪"No thank you."

Donnie sat down at a booth table thing (I hope u get what I mean) and ordered some apple juice
(a/n: Donnie canonically prefers apple juice - and flavourless juice ofc-)

Not even 5 minutes later a girl walked up to him.

💁🏻‍♀️"Oh hey Donnie, I didn't know you liked to skate" she greeted.

He recognized her immediately.

🟣"Oh hi, yeah I do skate sometimes"

💁🏻‍♀️"Cool, now that I know that, we should skate together sometime!"

🟣"Yeah sure... Hah.." he said and awkwardly sipped some apple juice.

The girl sat opposite of him and continued the conversation
(fucking small talk° I hate it #autism)

💁🏻‍♀️"So, you haven't really replied to my messages, why's that?"

🟣"Yeah, uhhhh, I was busy so..."

💁🏻‍♀️"Oh, okay. Because I thought you didn't like me for a second and I got scared you know?"

🟣"Mhm"

He was really trying not to look at her.

Meanwhile, y/n noticed the two of them talking. She felt a wave of jealousy overcome her - for the first time in her life.

oh hell no, what do you want with my man? She thought and skated towards them angrily.

The booth was right next to the rink so she didn't have to get off and stuff.

She leaned over the rink wall slightly and said:

⚪"Hey Don, what up? Oh, who's this?"

💁🏻‍♀️"Oh hi, I'm Haley"

⚪"Y/n. Donnie has never mentioned you, are you friends?"

💁🏻‍♀️"Oh um, sorta. It's not clear."

Donnie stood up.
🟣"Um, excuse me I'm gonna go to the bathroom rq"

⚪"Oh that's interesting" y/n continued talking to Haley "how did you meet?"

💁🏻‍♀️"Through omegle"

Y/n chuckled. Oh so you're THAT girl. Funny. Let's mess with you a bit.

️💁🏻‍♀️"What's so funny?"

⚪"Oh no it's nothing, I just didn't think Donnie would ever meet up with a stranger. It's not really like him yk?"

💁🏻‍♀️"You seem to know a lot about him, are you like childhood friends or sth?"

⚪"Oh he's a actually my boyfriend"

Haley's eyes widened

Weren't expecting to hear that, we're you? Y/n thought. Taunting that girl felt really good for some reason. And doing that wasn't something she thought she'd ever do, she's not the vengeful type. However, she continued.

💁🏻‍♀️"Really?"

⚪"Mhm! Oh- My favorite song just came on, excuse me but I have to go"

That was a lie. She had never heard that song in her life. But Donnie was back from the bathroom and she wanted to watch how things would play out from a distance.

🟣"Where's y/n?"

💁🏻‍♀️"She's skating. You never told me you had a girlfriend."

What?

🟣"Yeah uh, we don't really talk about our relationship with others, we like keeping it low key"

That was also a lie. But it felt good to say.

Why did she tell her we're together?

⚪"Donnie are you coming?" y/n yelled from the ring.

🟣"Yep just give me a moment!" he yelled back. "glad to see you but I have to go back to my date."

💁🏻‍♀️"Yeah sure, have fun" she said a bit annoyed and left.

Donnie went back into the rink. He didn't ask y/n anything about the conversation she had with Haley. A lot of thoughts were swirling into his head, something not unusual for him, but this time they were all about y/n.

She wouldn't have said we're a couple of she wasn't into me or if it wasn't true, right? Surely. This is my chance, I better not miss it ag-

⚪"Donnie?"

🟣"Yeah?"

⚪"You ok?"

🟣"Uh yeah, sorry, I  just got a bit distracted today, that's all"

⚪"The we should head back"

🟣"No, I don't want to ruin this for you"

⚪"Oh no, I'm fine. It's getting kinda late anyway."

🟣"Alright then"

They got off the rink ans went back to the lair.
