I walked into my house and then my room. I sat down on my bed and contemplated. Tomorrow is my actual first day at school in many years. Senior year of high school. I shouldn't have done that because I gave myself a panic attack, nice! Needed that!
I hopped in the shower in hopes of calming down a bit, and I did - but not completely of course. I decided to go to sleep early because I wasn't used to waking up before 10 and I knew it'd be hard for me to do that without having gotten enough sleep.
I had the exact same dream as Ryley from inside-out. Yikes. But then Donnie's comforting words came to mind and I was chill again. The next morning I woke up with a different mindset: what if I actually tried becoming the kid everyone likes? I mean, I'd feel like a win and I love winning so...
But if I was going to do that, then I'd have to keep in mind to NOT achieve it by becoming a people pleaser.
I don't know how, but this plan got me in a good mood. I got ready super quickly and I actually felt excited!
When I opened my front door, I saw the turtle-tank parked outside.
🔵"Get in loser, we're driving you to school"
I love them so much, they're so thoughtful.
I got in the back of the tank. Mikey and Leo smiled at me and I hugged them.
🔴"Goodmorning champion" he said from the passenger's seat
⚪"Champion?"
🔴"I'm trying to encourage you"
⚪"Thanks Raph :)"
🟣"Morning babe" he said keeping his eyes on the road
🔵"<<Good morning babeee>>" Leo mocked
🟠"Oh y/n, I love you so much!" Mikey continued
🟣"SHUT UP"
🟣"This is why I can never express myself"
Donnie started mumbling
⚪"Donnie, relax, it's alright"
🟣"No, it's not"
🔵"Neither was waking us up so early just so we could drive y/n to school"
🟣"But you weren't even sleeping when I knocked on your door!"
🔵"That's besides the point"
🔴"STOP FIGHTING"
🟠"Yeah, this was supposed to be our attempt in cheering y/n up"
They both went quiet.
⚪ "It's fine guys, seriously, no biggie. Oh, looks like we're here! Thanks for driving me"
Before I got out of the tank, I gave Donnie a kiss on the cheek
🟣"You're gonna do great" he whispered in my ear.
I blushed a little bit. I got out and waved the boys goodbye before turning around to enter hell. I mean school.
