Donnie pov:

I cannot believe I just got scolded by own family! Unbelievable! And the worst part is, they wasted my time completely because they didn't even have a point! But of course they had to ruin my day. They always do.

I was about to turn on my gaming console when my dad walked in. Strange. He never gets in our rooms.

🟣"Dad?"

🐀"Would you like to tell me something son?"

🟣"About what?"

🐀"Your problems. Or one problem. I know something is troubling you"

🟣"You"know" or did the guys tell you? "

🐀" Well, I was actually eavesdropping. But that doesn't matter. " he chuckled.

🟣" I have nothing to say to you dad"

🐀"Donatello...Look at me please"

"Donatello". He never calls me that.

I looked at him
🟣"Scoff, fine"

We sat on my bed.

🐀"Son, please tell me what's going on. It's good to talk about your problems. I'm here to listen. But I want you to tell me what you think. Not what your brothers planted in your head."

🟣Honestly dad... I don't know. I really don't know anymore... "

🐀" You said you enjoyed your date today"

🟣"I did"

🐀"Did you really?"

🟣"Yes, but.."

🐀"But?"

🟣"I was thinking about y/n. I had way more fun with her"

🐀"See son? You said and thought that without being influenced by anyone else. It's time you stop letting your fears and self doubts get to you and in the way if your decisions and life in general"

🟣"But that's not easy"

🐀"Of course not! But you have an advantage here. She likes you. You know she does. So if you make a move nothing will go wrong. Take it from me, the former ladies man."

🟣"Thanks dad" I hugged him.

I really needed that hug. And that talk, I guess. But I still can't take anyone's word. I need to be 100000% sure. And to do that, I had to hear it from y/n herself. So I made a plan that began with a message.

Come to the lab when
the guys go out for
patrol tomorrow.
We need to study

Of course we wouldn't be studying. But if I said "We need to talk" there's no way she would've come
