Esme woke up in bed and frowned as she realised that Jackson wasn't there. Which she found odd. She knew how he was always almost there in bed next to her. Esme sighed as she stood from the bed and sighed as she walked through their flat as she saw Jackson

"Who was that?" She asked

"My mom. She's coming to visit" he said as she paled. She knew how she had learnt a lot over Catherine fox and she knew how protective they she was over Jackson and she felt anxious and scared

"And you couldn't give me more warning than that" she asked as he walked over to her and smirked

"And what. Give you the chance to run and hide and freak out" he asked as he grabbed her by the waist and pulled her close and kissed her

"You have so much faith in me" she said as she wrapped her arms around his neck and smirked

"You have always been the panickier in our relationship Esme but that's okay as I love you. Besdies your not as bad as you use to be. It will be okay. My mom will love you and it will all work out in the end I promise" he said as she nodded

Esme knew that she was worried. She was worried over meeting jackson mother. She was worried of what would Happen if Catherine didn't like her and what it meant for them

"What if she doesn't like me" Esme said as Jackson smiled

"Impossible your the most bubbly and happy person and yeah you have a temper but it's what I love and I have met your mother dint you think it's time I met yours" he said as she looked to him

"Technically she was my sister who turned out to be my mom. You owe me a lot of sex for this"

"Oh I'm not complaining" he said as he pulled her close and kissed her

Esme sat in the lecture hall next to Jackson as he sat sipping coffee "I can't believe you talked me into this" Esme said as Chloe sat on the other side of her

"Where's my grace?" Esme asked

"In the crèche. Mamma needs to work. What's going on" Chloe asked

"Oh, no. It's not gonna be boring.This is Jackson's mother, Catherine Avery" April sisd

"April your already chief resident you don't need to suck up" Esme said

"She's a urologist, right?" Meredith asked

"Yeah. I met her when I was an intern at Mercy West.She was amazing."

"She is ... a lunatic." Jackson said. Esme placed a hand on his thigh. She knew he was freaking

"No, she's not. She's brilliant.She says these things that shock you, but then when you think about them later, they change your whole life." April said

"Or they ruin your whole life. She's toxic. She's a meddler.My mom has no boundaries. Be warnded. She's going to scare my girlfriend off" Jackson said as Chloe looked to Esme

"Oh so that's why you freaking out"

"I am not freaking out I just...I need vodka" Esme said
