Esme walked down the hallway at the hospital. It was late at night "hey where are you going?" She heard a voice say as she turned to see Jackson. He was walked over to her

"Hey baby" she said as she wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him into a kiss

"I am running late. I have to be in the ambulance in like two minutes. Alex and I are transferring a baby" she said as he smiled

"I know I just wanted to ask you something. Are you sure that you want to keep this secret I mean Chloe, your mom" he said as she smiled

"I love you Jackson but this. It's secret to us and all my life has been a secret everything and I just want this secret to be between me and you it's one thing I can control myself.  We are getting married, I'm your fiancée but I don't want anyone to know. This is between us" she said as he smirked

He leant in and kissed her and smiled "it's all going to be okay I promise" he said as he kissed her passionately

"Esme" Arizona called from down the hall. Esme looked to Jackson and nodded. She fastened up her coat and caught up to her mom

"What have we got?" She asked

"The baby was born a couple of hours ago, And it looks like a tracheoesophageal fistula.You know what that is?" Arizona asked as Esme rolled her eyes

"You taught me well, Yeah, it's the connection between, uh, The trachea and esophagus. Fills the lungs with secretions.
Baby can have a hard time breathing and feeding." Esme said

"Exactly bentley hospital is tiny. They can't handle it.So you need to go pick up the baby, bring her back, And then hopefully, I'm done with the kidThat's on his way in by the time you're back.You need to reconfigure the ambulance For intensive neonatal transport. And Karev is going with you" Arizona said

"I know the deal. Normally I'd complain but I could use to hands. Is the ambulance there" Esme said as she walked down the hall. She past Chloe and mark

"Where she off to?" Chloe asked

"Transporting a baby. Avery said" mark said

"There's going to be a storm"

"I'm sure she'll be fine chlo. Come on" mark said as he lead her off as Chloe nodded

Esme sat in the ambulance with Alex. She looked to the small incubator and sighed "are you okay" Alex asked as she nodded

"I know that we had a thing in the past but it was fun but I can see what your like with Avery I see how you look at him and it's real. I see how he is with you. Your good together and if I am honest I hate the fact that I know that you are going to kick my arse in peds" he said ad she looked to him and smirked

"Oh just because of who my mom is does not been a thing. I think that we are both good residents and we care for kids. You have chance a lot alex Karev and I'm proud of you for it" she said as he smiled

"Hey, we're here to pick up a newborn, Take her to Seattle grace." Alex said
