Esme stood in front of the mirror as she got ready for work. She looked to see Jackson as he walked over to her and smiled

"Are you sure that you are ready for this. For work" he asked as she grabbed her waist as she turned to face him and smiled

"I'm okay, I guess. My head is a mess over all that has happened lately and not a day will go around that I don't miss Taylor and feel the heartbreak but I know I have to move on from all that happened" Esme said as Jackson look to her and smiled

"It will be okay. We will be okay" he said as he kissed her forehead

Esme stood by the nurses station and smiled as she saw Jackson. The two of them held a look. She knew it wasn't easy. She knew all that had happened and how she was trying. She knew what they had been through and how she didn't want her marriage to suffer because of it

Wane looked to see Webber as he walked over as Jackson looked to him as he handed him the cookies that Catherine had baked him

"Sir. From my mom. Cookies." Jackson said

"Oh, you know, that's not necess... " richard said

"Oh, and there's a message that I am supposed to read to you, make sure you get it. "Richard, I am in town doing a case at Seattle Pres." "Left you several messages and wasn't sure you got them." "I just want to make sure you're okay." "I'm worried about you," "baby." Uh, to be clear, that was her and not me. " Jackson said as Esme glanced to him and smirked

" Well, please tell her I'm fine."

" Oh, no, you gotta take the cookies, sir. " jackson said

" That's such a nice gesture, but I'm trying to avoid sweets. Uh, would you like them?" Richard said

" Um, I can put them in the lounge, and everybody can enjoy them."

" Oh, that's a fine idea." Richard said as he walked off as Esme walked over to where Jackson was

"Is he okay" she asked as Jackson looked to her and smiled

"He lost the love of his life. I don't think that fine is the word we are looking for. His wife is dead" he said as Esme smiled

"It's never easy to loose one that you love" Esme said as Jackson looked to her and smiled

"It's not " he said as the two of them held a look. She knew how things were and how they were just getting back to work and trying to move forward with their life

Chloe walked over as Jackson walked off "your child died and he is being Webber cookies his mom made for him?" She asked as Esme smiled

"Trust me she's made us plenty of meals cookies and cakes to last a life time I don't think she knows how to handle her grief"

"And you? Are you handling it?" Chloe asked as Esme looked to her and smiled

"Baby steps" Esme said as Chloe looked to her and smiled

"I'm proud of you how far you have come and how strong you have been through this" Chloe said as Esme smiled

"I have to be" Esme said. She knew that she wanted to move forward despite her grief it wasn't easy but she knew that she had a hell of a support system and wasn't going to let this devastation that she had been through destroy her
