As a storm is raging over Seattle, Callie and Arizona, Esme, Chloe and mark are at Meredith and Derek's house.

"I am telling you, once we got these doctors talking, it was a horror show. " callie said

" Shh. I just got Sofia back down. " Arizona said

"And me with grace" Chloe said

" Oh, and, uh, Portland Gen has quotas now. Yeah. It's unspoken, but it's understood that you have to churn out a certain number of procedures. " callie said

" And no research? " derek asked

" Nope. Pegasus is only interested in high-volume, high-price-tag procedures. Barely any patient interaction. " callie said
" So no research, no innovation, no opportunity to do what it is we got into medicine to do. " Derek asked

" Well, we won't let that happen to us here." Arizona said

"Yeah we may not exactly get a choice on that" mark said

"Oh, yeah? That's what they said at first. And then the people that fought management got fired, and the rest wore down or they left. " Callie said

"Now I don't want to leave. " Callie said

" None of us do. " mereodth said

"This is a mess" Chloe said

" You guys, come on. We have to do this. We have to buy the hospital. " callie said

"How you suddenly come into billions as thats what it wi cost you" Esme said

"Whoa. Hold on. " derek said

" Maybe she's right. " Meredith said

" Just wait. " Arizona said

" What if we don't want to?" Arizona said as Esme looked to her mom. She couldn't help but agree

"I'm sorry. It's never been my dream to run a hospital" Derek said as they all stood arguing . Esme stood pacing

"Okay, well, you might not have to run it. " callie said

" Cristina should be here. I have been texting her" meredith said

" I just got back to work. And, Derek, you just got your hand back. Esme has also just got back she's been through hell and this isn't what she needs. Don't you want to just work? " Arizona said as Esme looked to her

"She does have a point" Esme said

" Work where? I don't want somebody telling me which patients I can and can't treat. Or putting a stopwatch on how much time you can spend with them." Callie said

"Yeah, if we ran the place, we could make policy decisions based on experience." Meredith said

"Do y... Uh, no offense, but that is a naive way of putting it. The job is much harder than you think. I wanted it once, and I hated it. " derek said
