Esme sat in the room as they attended the meeting.  The meeting over the plane crash. She sat with a bottle of water trying to calm her morning sickness

"Derek Shepherd ... multiple hand fractures with a median nerve injury.Arizona Robbins ... open femur fracture with resultant above-knee amputation.Lexie Grey ... deceased.
Mark Sloan ... still recovering .This doesn't include extreme ..."

Esme zoned out from what was being said as she glanced to Chloe

"How is ... how is the investigation going?" Derek asked

"Have they found what caused the crash?" Meredith asked

"The investigation could take years.That's why we want to help you put this tragedy behind you."

"I think you mean, your clients would like to put it behind them. So I am authorized at this time to propose a onetime settlement. Bayview aeronautics takes your loss seriously.
Now the settlement agreement must be unanimous, and it releases Bayview aeronautics from any and all other claims, known or unknown, but ... most important, it will allow you to put this painful time behind you and move on with your lives." The lawyer said as a piece of paper was handed down

Esme looked to it and frowned. It was a lot of money but she didn't know how she felt over settling

Esme walked back into the apartment as Jackson stood looking dinner "hey. How was the meeting" he asked as Esme slipped off her shoes and looked to him

"They made us and offer they want us to settle"

"And that's not what you want?" He asked as she sighed

"I don't know Jackson. It was a lot being out there. I was throwing up a lot I thought I was dying I thought I'd never see you. Lexie died and mark is still recovering. The trauma that we went through I just don't think any money will do it. I just want answers to why this happened to us. Why Lexie died, why my mom lost her leg and how mark almost died" she said.

She stood at the counter as Jackson walked over to her and smiled "think about it okay. I'm just glad that your okay. That you both our" he said as he placed a hand on her stomach as she rested her hand on top of his and smiled

"So am I"

"I made dinner eat" he said as she smiled

"Thank you. I need to sleep and then I'm going to go and see my mom tomorrow" she said

Esme stood in the attending lounge and looked to see Meredith as she walked in

"How's mark doing" Esme asked

"Well he's doing my head in. He's requesting I give him sponge baths naked" Chloe said as Esme chuckled

"He's definitely getting better then" Esme said

"Hey, Alex ... Why did an intern just give me a compliment on the crown moldings in my empty house? Are you still sleeping there?" Meredith asked

"Chicks like it better than the on-call room." Alex said

"Okay, that's disgusting.Now I have to have the place tented.Give me back my key." Meredith said
