Nakatayo lang ang isang lalaki sa balcony neto habang nakatingin sa sunset. A sunset that reminds him that once upon a time he fell in love into someone he knows that will never be his mine. Napatingin din ito sa baba kung saan doon makikita ang garden of purple tulips kaya napangiti na lang sya dahil may naalala syang minsan may minahal syang tao sa lugar na yun. Iniisip neto na it's the best place he ever known parang perfect yung lugar para mag-mahal.
May biglang dumating na babae at tumabi sa kanya habang tinitingnan nila ang buong paligid.
"Everything changed"
Sabi ng lalaki kaya napatingin sa kanya yung babaeng kakarating lang. May bahid ng lungkot yung pag-kasabi neto pero alam naman nya sa sarili nyang hindi na mag-babago kung ano ang itinakda at dapat mangyari. He even learned his lessons that no one can rewrite what's already written.
"You had a chance para habulin sya that time at alam mong kapag ginamit nya yung time travel machine babalik sya don sa time na di ka nya nakilala at babalik ang lahat sa normal. I know kaya mong pumunta ulit sa universe nya para ayusin yung machine pero di mo ginawa"
Tiningnan lang nya ang kapatid neto ng isang makahulugang ngiti.
"Ayaw kong masayang effort mo dahil alam kong ikaw yung sumira ng machine Lara "
Pabirong sabi neto kaya medyo nagulat si Lara sa sinabi neto dahil hindi nya alam na all this time alam pala ng kuya nya ang ginawa nya pero hinayaan lang sya neto kahit na alam nyang masasaktan sya sa ginawa nya. She feels guilty dahil sa ginawa nya.
"I'm sorry "
Mahinang sabi nya ayaw nya lang mawala ng maaga yung kuya nya sa kanya at gusto nya lang maging tama ang lahat kung sa iba mababaw na reason lang yun pero para sa kanya hindi nya kayang mawala pa ang kuya nya sa kanya dahil sya na lang yung natira na andon lagi kapag kailangan nya.
"You did the right thing, kung ano man ang mga nangyayari kay Selene ngayon yun naman talaga ang dapat, ginulo ko lang nong dumating ako sa buhay nya. I'm happy coz she was married to Marco which is anak ng Lucas sa universe na yun. Marco is such a good guy, a good husband and a good father. He did exactly what I wanted to do. Sapat na sa'kin makitang masaya yung babaeng mahal ko"
mahabang sabi ni Lucas saka tumingin na lang ulit sa kalawakan.
"Let's stop wasting time of someone else's soulmate"
He whisper softly.
He had a chance para mag-paliwanag. He had a chance para habulin sya but he didn't make any move kasi na realized nya na if babalik si Selene sa time na hindi sya nakilala neto maging mas masaya sya. He's selfish kapag ipagkait yung kapalaran na dapat naman sa kanya. She deserves everything so bakit nya ipag-kait yun.
He didn't even take a single step to seized her nor said a single word to stopped her. He just let her maybe others might think he was weak for letting someone he loved go just like that but for him that was the bravest thing he ever did. He really tried to change the ending but all he did was to bleed. That feeling when you risk everything but also lost it all. No regrets, he treasure every moments.
He had a lots of plans to do, adventures to do, a lots of dreams he built on his mind, plans to have a family with her and grow old together with her. Some of it came true but most of it, didn't.
There are times na vini-visit nya yung libingan ni Selene, yung Selene sa universe nya and lagi nyang nilaglagyan ng Black rose yung libingan neto kada visit nya just like what he always do. Some people may think kung bakit di nya ginamit yung time travel machine but then babalik nga ang time pero uulit at uulit padin kung ano dapat ang mangyayari just like the death of Selene in his universe at uulit din lang ang sakit. Hindi mababago ng kahit anong machine ang dapat mangyari.
Nothing can change the story if fate was telling the different ending. It's like reading the same story over again and expecting the different ending but the outcome will always be the same.
Alam nyang tumahimik at masaya na rin yung Selene dito sa universe nya kung saan man sya. He's happy how Selene in his universe and Selene from other universe na minahal nya was connected to each other. He's aware na nakikita ni Selene yung Selene dito and she's like she's telling what happened to her and him in this universe to another Selene but then nawala na yun lahat.
Everything was back to normal. Everything was back into where it all started and she got the ending she deserves.
May mga bagay talaga na mahirap tanggapin pero kailangan.
He needs to continue his life para sa kapatid nya. Wala na din syang time para mag-hanap pa ng ibang mamahalin pa dahil sapat na kung anong meron syang memories ng dalawang Selene sa life nya. One died and one was forgotten.
Huminga na lang sya ng malalim knowing na hindi na nya magawang pumunta pa ulit sa ibang universe at hindi na nya gagawin yun kahit kailan.
There are times that he really misses her but it's okay to miss someone without wanting them back.
Good for her she forgot everything but for him who still remember every detail of her suffer each day but he's healing himself for now. He already accepted the facts and the fate.
Sinulyapan nya ulit yung kalawakan at ngumiti ito. Yung ngiting alam nyang maging masaya sya kapag nandito sya kaya isinuot neto yung white coat nya dahil nag tuturo sya sa universe na'to.
He teaches how to create machines and other lessons about science in his universe. His like a scientist in his universe na never nyang inexcpect na yun ang kapalaran nya. Nag-patayo sya ng school sa universe nya para mag- turo pero hindi yun yung dahilan kung bakit maraming mga bata ang gustong pumasok sa school na ipinatayo nya. They just love to hear the story he always told to them.
A story of a guy who fell in love to a girl in every universe except to a one universe. He told them that the story ends where the girl realized that the guy did love her in every universe and that's already enough for both hearts because the only thing that matters is that once in their life they did love each other.
He smiles nong finally nadugtungan nya na din yung story na isinulat nya dati na hanggang chapter 3 lang at hindi na nya itinapos dahil di nya alam kung pano tatapusin and finally nagawan nya narin ng ending.
Lucas wrote that story nong nasa universe pa sya ni Selene na minahal nya but that story is nowhere to be found in that universe dahil burado na ito doon and it only exist in his universe now.
Some stories meant to end in happy ending but there are some stories also that meant to be forgotten.
He take a deep breath and whisper.
"And I didn't like the ending"
