A/N: I Felt like writing some angsty shit today

Trigger warnings: Slight abuse and yelling

You and Scaramouche hadn't always been the perfect couple, you both had some issues that interfered with daily life. You both had learned to accept them and try to move on from them. Still, they made for some rough patches in your relationship.

Scara had never hit you but did sometimes yell. Which caused a little anxiety, being yelled at was not fun. Despite all of this you loved each other to death. You never went to sleep angry at each other or never laid a hand on each other.

Today, however, seemed to be a little different. It was your anniversary! But only you had remembered, a little sad really. You had prepared a cake and gifts! While Scara seemed to have nothing. Was he mad at you? Was it on purpose? Or did he really forget? Since you'd woken up and he didn't say anything, thoughts had just been swirling around.

When Scara arrived home later that night, he seemed to be in a horrible mood. Even more so than usual.

"Hey, Honey you're home!"

"What do you want?" It hurt to hear him talk like that.

"I was just saying welcome home..."

"Yeah well, just piss off."

"What is your problem!" Now things started to get heated. You had yelled and now he would start yelling back.

"My problem." He did that little laugh that always scared you. "You're all over me as soon as I walk in the door, it's annoying."

Now that had struck a chord. Being called annoying was something that hurt a lot for you. Slowly your vision became blurred as you tried to hold back tears. "Do you know what day it is?"

"What."

"Do you know what day it is?"

"Why are you asking me such stupid questions?"

And that was when he lost it, he landed a pretty hard slap right across your face. Both of u stood there in shock, not knowing what to do. You were the first to move, slowly stepping back, trying to get to the door. This was the last straw. You were done.

"Wait, honey, please."

"And by the way, it's our f#cking anniversary!"
