It wasn't supposed to happen again. You promised last time. Somehow you ended up on the floor of the bathroom clutching your wrists that were wrapped in toilet paper. Doing anything to stop the bleeding. What if he comes home early? What if he sees me like this?

Your thoughts caused you so much panic that it turned into a panic attack. Everything was closing in, you could hardly breathe properly. You clutched your chest, just trying to get everything to stop... The sound of the front door opening didn't register in your mind. Your sobs reached Lyneys ears and he quickly ran to come find you.

"Y/n!" The fear in his voice was evident.

The panic washed over your body even more. What if he yells at me? A gust of wind hit you as Lyney burst in the door. "Mon amour... What happened while I was gone?"

He reached out wrapping an arm around you trying to give you some comfort. You could barely speak without choking on tears,

"Sweetie..." His voice was soft, like a fluffy blanket. His words made you feel seen, and safe.

"It just happened..." You sniffled out. "I didn't-"

You couldn't finish your sentence because more tears just came rushing out. You could feel his pity radiating off him as he looked at the red marks on your wrist. His eyes filled with tears as well.

"You promised you'd try and tell me, sweetie..."

"I-I'm sorry, it's... it's difficult to speak sometimes."

"It's okay... You didn't mean too." A soft smile appeared on his lips. "I still love you... Don't ever forget that. Okay?"

"Okay." You sniffled once again,

Lyney held you in his arms not daring to let go for the rest of the night.
