Summary- y/n was killed by someone and diluc has to learn to cope with the grief

You weren't coming back. Not because you didn't want to, but because you couldn't. Diluc knew you couldn't, but he continued his day like you were there. However, he was going to find the person who took the love of his life away. He could still feel your presence sometimes when he went to bed or made dinner, sometimes he still made two plates instead of one.

Diluc blamed himself a lot for your death, just maybe if he hadn't pushed you away you wouldn't have left that night. You wouldn't have run out the door tears streaming down your face while Diluc was yelling your name and doing anything to get you back. Well... He didn't run after you. He thought you needed space... That you wanted the space. Instead, you were taken from him too quickly.

Its been months now, and looking at the clothes in your wardrobe reminds him of all the dates, all the movie nights and all the joy you both shared. For example, your favourite outfit (whatever that might be) you always wore it on dates. No matter the occasion. It was the one you wore on your first date, so of course you wouldn't change it.

Diluc didn't cry the night he found out you died, the grief hadn't hit him yet. It wouldn't hit him till a week later. He had continued to work like normal, praying that you'd walk through the door of angels share... But you never did. That's when it hit him... He left work early and didn't come back in for a few weeks.

Kaeya and the rest of the knights tried to offer him comfort. He never took it, insisting that he was fine. He knew you would've wanted him to take the help, but he couldn't bring himself to be that weak and vulnerable. The only person he was like that with was you. But now you were gone...

You and Diluc had dated for 5 years, you were engaged and were supposed to get married in a few months. He felt like he'd never find love again... Which he never did. He never could see anyone the way he saw you. He never let anyone get close enough to him to know him the way you did...
