His quality was always shitty, could be the wifi, or could be his outdated phone. Childe, your boyfriend of about 2 years had been staying in Snezhnaya for a year. His boss had asked him too, and neither of you knew when he was coming back.

"Love guess what!"

"I get to come home!"

You couldn't contain your excitement. You began to jump up and down while shaking your hand. You couldn't believe it. Childe your boyfriend was coming home! How amazing it would be. To finally kiss him to finally cuddle him, the happiness couldn't be contained.

You were so excited for him to come home. And today was the day it had been a week since he'd called. He was finally coming back to Liyue. How great would I be to finally have your boyfriend back in your arms.

You drove towards the airport playing your song on repeat. Childe had one day sent you this song and it gave you so much serotonin from how sweet it was. Sadly he was never there to sing it with you. But today was the day.

Once you got to the airport you stood waiting for your partner to arrive. You could barely contain your happiness. People around you may have been giving you weird looks but who cares at this point? No one knew the reason for it.
