Even if your flatmate did 'despise' it (at least that's what he said), movie night in your home was a blast. You loved those moments, both significant and insignificant. The way he jumped when he was afraid and the way he grinned just a little when a couple kissed. And on occasion, throughout the film, the way he crept up on you. These were insignificant details that made you fall in love.
You had made the choice to watch a horror film one evening. Even if he wasn't easily scared, it wasn't impossible to notice how he reacted to it. Simply find the proper movie. In the film, the killer murdered everyone who got in their way, even members of their own family. But afterwards, the murderer was so stricken with guilt that they killed themselves. You squirmed because there was so much blood and gore displayed. Scara, on the other hand, was only just managing to hang on. The terror of the movie had him on the verge of shaking.
"Hey Scara you alright?"
He only managed a weak nod in response. Poor guy, he was terrified to death. He most certainly wasn't fine. Was watching this movie a bad idea?
"Want a hug?"
He repeated his action from before. However, he scampered over to your position on the couch this time. He sank into your arm, pressing his cheek against your heart. He wasn't about let go any time soon.
"You alright Dude?"
He shook his head. "Just shut up and hold me, idiot"
You played with his hair as well as cuddling him. It caused him to nod off. His body's regular breathing was hypnotising. Your eyes started to slowly droop as you started sleeping as well.
