Kaveh hadn't left his desk in hours and Alhaitham started to get worried. It was starting to get even later and Kaveh hadn't taken a break for so long. What could he even be doing? He must've been wrapped in another project usually that did happen. The house was silent except for the faint rustling of paper and scratches of pencils. Maybe it was time to tell Kaveh to go to bed. That idiot wouldn't go to bed unless he was told, and it was up to Alhaitham to tell him.
"You in here?" Haitham grumbled, it was too late for this.
"Yeah." His voice was croaky and had a hint of tiredness in his voice.
"You need to go to bed, it's 12am."
"I gotta finish this first."
Knowing him he wouldn't sleep if he tried to finish it, then he'd complain so much tomorrow. Alhaitam really didn't want that, he was already hard enough to deal with.
"Kaveh go to bed, it's late you'll be shitty in the morning if u don't."
No response, still the sounds of paper and pencil continued. Now he was getting fed up, he wouldn't go to bed and was ignoring him. Alhaitham called his name again, and rather than being ignored this time he was met with an angry response.
"Can you just go away?! I said I needed to finish this why won't you listen!" He'd never yelled like that, it gave Alaitham a bit of a shock.
It was actually a little scary, he'd never been like this before. Alhaitham was tired and needed Kaveh to go to bed, he wouldn't be able to sleep unless he was. It may not seem like it but he really does care for Kaveh, yes he may be an idiot but he still loves him.
"Kaveh, please go to bed." Alhaitam went up behind the blond male and hugged him, slowly becoming tighter with the hug. Sadly this didn't make him happy.
"Alhaitam just piss off, I'm working and you're not helping!"
It was unlike Alhaitam to get upset but for some reason, this set him off. His eyes started to get blurry and his face wet. He slowly released Kaveh, while saying he was sorry for bothering him. Why was this bothering him so much, it sorta hurt to be yelled at.
It was about two in the morning when Kaveh realised what he'd done. He went into the other tenant's room expecting to find him asleep, but no Alhaitham was wide awake. He had a book in hand but seemed to be bothered by something else.
"Haitham, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to yell like that. I was just really stressed, I feel horrible."
Without saying another word he climbed into bed and moved a little closer to the other male. Alhaitham put his book down and embraced Kaveh. They had done this before when Kaveh had a nightmare a while back, but never again. Kaveh did end up with a small peck on the head, along with his apology being accepted.
