Andy had to do it.  He had to talk to Zoe.  He also didn't really wanna talk, he kinda wanted to kiss her for a change.  He was feeling a lot all at the same time, like relief that she was alive and how badly he wanted her lips on his again.  He was a mess, a self proclaimed mess.

He was sitting on his bed, going over what he'd say to her in his head.  No one else was in the cabin, it was almost peaceful.  Then the door opened, "Is anyone here?" Maddie called, instead of looking.

"Hey," he waved, "How was it back home?"

She came into his view, he'd almost forgotten about the cut on her lip.  It looked better now, but it was weird seeing her with a soon to be scar.  It made her look older, more hardened.  "Alright, how's Zoe?"

He smiled, "She's Zoe again. . . she was a little drugged last night but she's alive."

She mirrored his expression, "Anything happen?"

   "Don't worry about it,"

"Did you confess?  Are you official?" she asked quickly

His jaw hung open, "You went missing, Maddie, let's talk about that."

"Oh my gods, you're about to confess!"  She clapped her hands excitedly, "I need to find Ryle."

He sighed into the empty space, you got this.  He stood up, fixed his hair in the mirror and started walking.  This was fine, everything was fine.  It's just Zoe, only the fact that she was never just Zoe.  Still, she wasn't scary, she was just terrifying and beautiful and perfect.  He had to do it.  Better now than ever.  At least she'd know.

He ran into Kyle as he approached her room, like physically ran into him, "Sorry," he said.

Kyle kinda looked like a mini version of Cade, "It's okay," he glanced at the door, "Good luck."

   "With?"

"Whatever you're about to do."  He shrugged, pulling his pen out of his clipboard and scribbling something down.  "She's bored."

He knocked on the door, "Yes," he needed to stop smiling every time he heard her voice.

"Can I come in?" his hand was shaking as he placed it on the door nob.

"Yes," her voice sounded a little different this time, though he couldn't put his finger on it.

    He opened the door, "Hey."

She smiled at him, "Hi," she looked different today.  Her face was brighter, her hair was brushed and clean, she was wearing her camp sweatshirt despite it being the middle of the summer.  She was also sitting up, which must've been a good sign.  "Andy?"

"Yeah," he didn't know what to do with himself, "How are you?"

"Okay," she pushed her glasses farther up the bridge of her nose, "I'm in mild pain but it's manageable.  I can walk, I'm not supposed to, but I can."

"Don't," they had to talk about it, he didn't want to have to talk about it.  He just wanted to skip this step and go to immediately being with her.  "So, I have something to talk to you about."

    "That's allowed, what's up?"

"You kissed me," gods he could already feel his cheeks burn, "Twice."

Her jaw dropped, but she recovered quickly, "I- I vaguely remember that."

   "Zoe."

She raised her eyebrows, "Someone's not amused, yes Andy, I vividly remember that.  Well I remember the first time, I don't really remember last night."
