Zoe leaned her head onto the frosted window of the car and closed her eyes.  "You don't have to do this," Issac said from the drivers seat, his thumbs tapping against the wheel.

She opened her eyes, "I want to."

"Okay," as they met a stop light, he turned to look at her.  "If you kill him, make sure you get away with it.  I don't feel like covering up a murder for you today."

The wind was loud, masking the music, "Nature will kill him soon enough."

They fell into silence as he pulled into the prison parking lot.  He shifted the car into park, still not unlocking the door, "I will be right here the whole time."

"I know," she unlocked the car door.

  "And-" he started to say.

She cut him off, "I will be fine."

His stone eyes were serious, "I can go with you."

"You're just as bad as Andy," she got out of the car, zipping her coat all the way up.  "I'll be quick."

He nodded.  She shut the car door and turned to a washed down grey building.  I can do this.  The doors weren't inviting, but she pushed them open anyway.  She gave the police officer her paperwork.  He gave her a once over, "You had an interesting case."

She stared into his eyes, "I too, found my mother's murder interesting."

He looked away first, "Right this way."

I can do this.  I can do this.  I can do this.  She took her seat, picked up the phone, and looked at Trenton Cruise on the two year anniversary of his life sentence.  "I'm surprised you agreed to see me," Zoe looked her stepfather in the eye, "You still look horrible."

He chuckled, "You look just like her."

"I have something to say to you," she stated.  He couldn't hurt her anymore, she had to remind herself that, over and over again.

  "Any day now, Zoe."

Her skin crawled, "I need you to know who I am."  She ripped the piece of paper Cassidy had given her in half, letting loose the spell, giving him knowledge of it all.  "I need you to know what I could do to you.  You need to know that this isn't your punishment, that after death, the only thing you will feel will be pain."

"Wow," Trenton didn't look phased, "Your mom was better at threats."

"Those were empty," she kept her voice low, "This is not."  Be afraid of me, understand, fear me as I have feared you.  His eyes widened as the spell began to work and saw who she was.  "My father is not like you."

His breath was shallow, "What are you?"

Her palms were sweating, but this was important.  She forced a smirk, fake confidence got her far.  "I'm a mistake, just like you said."

"You won't kill me," he didn't seem to believe what he was saying.

"Not today," she let lightning travel down her arm, and into the phone.  He dropped it, shocked-literally.  "Goodbye."

She walked out, unzipping her jacket, letting the air cool her overheated skin.  She looked up at the cloud white sky, at her real father, he might've sucked, but at least he gave her power.  Issac was pacing outside of the car with his hands in his pockets.  When he saw her he smiled, "How'd it go?"

  "I did it."

Before he could say anything else a car skidded to a stop in the parking lot.  The driver got out without turning the car off and started running.  "Damnit," Issac cursed.
