Everyone was seated at Andy's kitchen table trying to figure out how to get into the muppets layer, Zoe was no longer paying attention.  They'd been sitting there for entirely to long and she couldn't think anymore.  Cassidy had informed them that the entrance moves in a cycle every week, only the entrances were unpredictable.  Zoe was still shocked that they'd built a multi state pathway underground for their headquarters, really it was quite dramatic.  Why did they need an evil layer, they weren't supervillains.  Andy leaned his head on her shoulder, she looked over at him.  "I just need a minute," he mumbled, closing his eyes.

She nodded, then tried to reengage in the conversation.  It wasn't working, that was until Nathan decided to start playing with his knives.  He was no doubt having trouble concentrating too, kife tossing seemed to ground him, it would have been concerning if he wasn't her best friend.  Watching his knife fly in the air she asked the obvious question, "If they know Maddie is there, they've probably closed the New York entrances."

"Well, yes."  Issac looked down, "But they have to keep something open and demigods are centered here. . ." his eyes grew wide, "So they wouldn't want to go far and we already know where one entrance is."

         "Gods not again,"

Nathan caught his knife, "So we're going back to DC."

Andy lifted his head, "You've gotta be fucking kidding me."

"DC has cherry blossoms in the spring," Paris looked up from her sketchbook.

Zoe shook her head, "It's summer."

"We can bring Sam, he'll make the flowers bloom."

She snickered, "Especially if Nathan asks him."

Nathan glared at her, "Go fuck yourself."

"To clarify," Maggy spoke up, "You guys have already been there through the DC entrance?"

"Yep," Issac rubbed his face, "Lincoln Memorial- through the gift shop."

"I have many questions," Matt smiled, "But do they sell candy at the gift shop?"

Maggy elbowed him, "It's a gift shop."

         "That didn't answer my question,"

Andy dropped his head back onto her shoulder, "Yes Matt, the gift shop being a gift shop- has candy.  It also had murderous scorpions last time we were there."

       "Oh,"

"So," Issac had gotten a new notebook and he hadn't stopped writing things in it, "I still don't think we should all go in, it will draw way too much attention."

      Andy straightened, "I'll go alone."

"No you will not," she said immediately.

"Correct," Issac caught her eye, "Andy you can't go alone."

"And why is that?" Andy asked, now fully engaged.

      "Because. . ."

For some reason Issac didn't finish his sentence, "Because it's dangerous."  Zoe crossed her arms, "And you're not prepared to go on a quest alone."

"And you guys are?" he mirrored her, crossing his arms as well.

"Well I have been training my whole life, so yes I am."
