A lot of things sucked, but getting to reunite with Zoe twice in one day was pretty nice. There was a lot going on. Camp was swarming with demigods both Greek and Roman. The infirmary was full and Chiron was pacing and swishing his tail, waiting for things to settle down.
When he first left their boat, his eyes surfed the crowd. His girlfriend was easy to spot, though her hair had changed slightly, the strands of purple caught his eye. She was sitting on top of a picnic table, her feet where the actual seat was. Paris and Nathan were sitting like normal human beings, eating lunch.
Just as he started on his way to her he was almost tackled, "Andy!"
"Ryle!" He laughed hugging his sister and trying to balance. "Hi!"
She squeezed him tighter, "I thought you were dead!"
He pulled back and met her eyes, "I'm alive."
Ryle flicked him in the side of the head, "Okay, smartass. I'm happy to see you."
He grinned, "Could've fooled me." She flicked him again. "Ouch."
Jake hugged him, he didn't even see the kid coming, he didn't say anything. His little brother just hugged him and ran away. Ry laughed, "He's going through a phase."
"You could say that, where is Liam?"
She smiled, "Behind you."
He whipped around to see his brother standing with his arms crossed, "I almost got extra bunk space."
"Why are you creeping behind me?" He shook his head, "You better not have moved my bed."
His lips quirked up into a smile, "Stop almost dying, Andy. Now go see your girl, we all know you're dying to. We'll see you later."
"It's good to see you, too." He clapped him on the shoulder and made his way to the picnic table. Nathan grinned when he saw him and nudged Paris, who smiled at him as well.
"Hey, Zo," He said as he got in hearing range.
Her body stilled and her friends smiled wider. He walked around the table, "Hey," her voice was feathery soft.
Beautiful. She stood and walked to him. He took her face in his hands, "You're less bloody than I remember."
She raised her eyebrows, "Shut up, sailor."
He'd forgotten about his outfit. He kissed her, hoping that made her forget about his crime to fashion. The electricity of her skin brought him back to life, along with her chapped lips and rough hands. "Are you okay?" he asked, before they really pulled apart.
Her smile was lazy, "Yeah."
"Hm," he pulled away slightly to see her face, her stormy blue eyes, the scar on her cheek, and sharp jawline. He traced her scar with his thumb before tilting her chin up with his fingers. The bruises around her neck made his blood boil, they made him wish he could end whoever did that to her. "Does it hurt?"
"Not anymore," she grabbed his hands and pulled them away from her face. "Did you get Anna to look at your shoulder?"
He pursed his lips, "No."
Zoe narrowed his eyes, "Go to the infirmary, I'll meet you there with a change of clothes."
"What's wrong with my outfit?"
She scoffed, "What isn't?"
He gasped, "I look amazing!"
"Baby, you look ridiculous."
