Her mouth was starting to fill with blood and the contact in her left eye had been punched out, still Zoe smiled. It was probably a chilling sight to someone who didn't know her- actually some of her friends looked a little alarmed. After all she couldn't remember how long the fight had been going on- really all she remembered was not being the first to swing this time. Well not physically swing, maybe she took an emotional hit when she told Alex she looked like a toad on steroids more likely it was the jab on her brother. Was it true? Sometimes. Was it necessary? Maybe. Was it kind? Haha, no.
Still Alex started it, she had been glaring at Zoe for like an hour before she approached her. She had been yelling about how arrogant Zoe was and cool she thought she was. Zoe had just listened to her, she agreed that she thought she was cool as fuck and Alex told her to shut up. She didn't of course, going through with the argument, happy to entertain it. That was until Alex couldn't retaliate anymore, she shouted, "At least my mom's not dead!" Really, it was a stupid thing to say.
Nonetheless it fired Zoe up, "Well at least my brother wasn't a fucking spy for the bad guys!" Yeah, that's when she got punched in the face. She retaliated quickly but Alex was good at combat, which she knew. In fact she knew how good Alex was, she knew Alex's moves and Alex knew her's. Embarrassingly enough that's why they were still fighting. Both bloody and bruised, but neither of them were down yet. No one won until the other dropped.
It didn't matter how blurry Alex was or how much blood was filling her mouth, Zoe was still standing- so she was still fighting. So she smiled at Alex after delivering a gut punch, watching her try her best not to double over. "This all you got?" she taunted,
"Oh you wish," she snarled charging at her. Wow, Zoe thought briefly, I'm really good at pissing people off. Then she was tackled to the ground and her head smacked up against the grass, but she was still conscious. Before Alex could really hit her she flipped the both of them over and punched her in the face- the scabs on the back of Zoe's hands were opening up again.
Before she could do anything else the sound of hooves charging in their direction stopped her, "STOP!"
"Chiron," she said in greeting, pushing herself off of Alex and into a standing position. It didn't really work out well for her, she stumbled back and Nathan caught her arms. He pulled her back from Alex before she could advance again, she still hadn't snapped out of kill mode. Paris put herself in between them as Chiron reached them.
"What happened?" Zoe was about to tell him, before he looked deliberately away from her, "Alexandria, what happened?"
"Oh damn the full name," She muttered to Nathan, he snickered a little bit behind her.
Alex was panting and clutching her side, "She- she just attacked me."
"Really?"
"Alright," Chiron turned back to Zoe, "And you're side?"
"She started it, I let it happen."
"Alex strike one, Zoe that was your third strike you will leave your cabin only for meals and classes," he said sternly.
"Are you grounding me?" she asked, astonished.
"Yes, you continuously break curfew, you've skipped your classes, you fought a mortal, and you just got into a fight. I'm putting my hoof down."
"Fine,"
"Nathan, will you escort her to her cabin?" He nodded, "Thank you, Anna will meet you there to tend to your wounds. Alex, come with me."
