A Recipe for Destruction

Issac had had many bad ideas and he had heard even more, but nothing seemed worse than letting Alex and Zoe go to find whatever had happened to Andy.  Still he let it happen, running around the lobby making sure everyone had weapons and properly secured armor.  Most of their army had caught onto business and had perfectly prepared for what was to happen next.

Maggy was holding a laptop with one arm, she practically ran face first into him.  "There you are," she still didn't look up from her screen.

"Here I am?" he blinked, stepping back.  "What's up?"

  She flipped the device, "West."

He didn't even question what security camera she had to break into to get that view of the Muppets approaching.  After a moment, he caught on, "They're making a b-line for the Empire state building."

  "They are."

The monsters were practically marching like ants.  "Okay, so they are doing exactly as suspected.  Able your traps."

Maggy's smile was far from comforting as she flipped the laptop and switched tabs, likely turning on some form of diabolical trap.  He ignored that and stalked to the front desk, wasting no time hopping on top of it.  That got Liam's attention, considering he was sitting at the desk taking off his rings.  "What are you doing?" he looked up, rolling back the chair.

Issac ignored him, he'd fine out in less than thirty seconds.  "Listen up!" he called, forcing authority into his voice.  He didn't celebrate when everyone did(lies he was proud of himself).  "We have a wall to defend.  It's about 200 feet to cover that entrance, everything else is booby trapped.  We can put a makeshift infirmary in the lobby, I want a team of ten on mount Olympus.  Those of you with residual injuries from earlier this week can be stationed up there.  Questions?"

He was met with near silence.  "Good," he hopped down in one quick movement, tapping the sword strapped across his back.  "Let's roll."

"I fucking hate this place," Zoe mumbled, kicking off of the bike and unfastening her helmet.

Alex seemed inclined to agree, still she asked, "New York or the tunnels?"

  "The tunnels."

"Fair," They had stopped just outside of the alley hoping to not be heard on the motorcycles.  She hadn't thought about that until they got close and some of the adrenalin wore off, then she'd realized what they were doing and slowed down.  "Are we going for stealth or bloodshed?"

"Hmm," Zoe considered it.  Damn, she hadn't even attempted to plan this mission.  Her one goal was to see what the living hell Andy had gotten himself into, and more importantly why he hadn't told her.  Not only that he didn't tell her, but that he asked Ryle to stop her from following.  "We sneak in and then attack as needed."

"You sound like you're telling me a recipe."

"For destruction," she offered, smiling a little at her own joke.

Alex snorted, "That was cringy as shit."

"I thought you said you were trying not to be a bitch," she kept on hand on her sword as they rounded they slowly approached the alleyway.

  "I'm trying."

"It's just really hard for you, isn't it?"

  "Bitch."

She huffed her amusement, leaning against the brick wall of a building to see what she could peer around the corner.  Gently, she drew her sword.  Alex, picking up on her cues went silent by her side.  She didn't move to draw any one of the numerous weapons she had on her person, but that was fine.  Zoe had a feeling the daughter of Ares could do a lot of damage without anything sharp and shiny.
