~Alex~
Loki's POV~
Linnea reappeared at noon that Saturday, just as she said. I had already gotten Brunnhilde to watch over things for the day, ensuring that anything that needed to be taken care of was completed earlier in the week. Frig was all packed and ready to go, with all her required items thrown into a pocket dimension.
"Are we all ready? Yes? Good." Linnea nodded as a greeting, turning on her heel and walking to a nearby blue van. "Hop on in. There is a car seat for Frig in the backseat."
I followed the woman's instructions, popping Frig into the Midgardian child safety device in the second row of the car before hopping into the front seat beside Linnea.
"So, where is your village?"
"Not too far from here. It's about a fifteen-minute drive. Everyone is excited to meet you."
"Truly?" I asked, a bit skeptical.
"Of course. Not everyone was fortunate enough to meet the one that captured our most powerful witch's heart." She smirked to herself. "There have been tails of your adventures together, you know. Alex loved to tell tails of her adventures on Asgard when she would visit home, and the others have passed them on to their children. She may be gone, but she shall never be forgotten."
"Yes, I do believe you are correct there."
~~
"Let's go, your majesty!" Linnea shouted, arms crossed as she watched me struggle to release Frig from her confines.
"I am trying but this Midgardian devise is quite difficult!"
I heard the woman sigh as she walked over, pushing me to the side and easily releasing Frig, pulling her out of the seat and handing her over to me.
"Thank you," I mumbled.
"Yes. Come this way. The people wish to meet you both."
I followed the redhead through the village streets, admiring the old stone homes, the little shops that seemed to litter every block, and the people that wandered about, some looking at us with wide eyes. There were some shops that sparked memories in me, remembering a time when Alex would drag me down the square, showing me everything her home had. Though one thing was certainly new.
There was a large mosaic in the center of the village of Alex, made up of thousands of little pieces of tile. Adorned in a fully black SHIELD suit similar to the one Lady Natasha would wear, she seemed to stare off into the distance, a determined look spread across her features.(A/n ~ Think of it like the mosaic of baby Rapunzel and her parents in Tangled)
"That was made not long after the Black Widow released SHIELD's files. In them included Alex, revealing what we had always hoped. That she was out there. Still alive."
"Did you ever try to get in contact with her?"
"We read what those monsters did to her all those years ago. How she had lost her memory because of it. We decided that revealing ourselves might just be too much for her to properly process."
I nodded in agreement, thinking back to how Alex ran from me when I showed her her memories with me.
"That was probably for the best, though it is a shame she could not visit once she remembered."
"Yes, but you're here with little Frig. That will have to be enough."
~~
Linnea had introduced me to what felt like everyone in the tribe, showing Frig and I off to all the village people. As we walked, I continuously saw people use their magic, and I could tell Frig greatly enjoyed watching the magic users.
