~Avery~
It's been a week since bringing Tony home, and while he's been slowly returning back to health, I've seemed to only get worse as the days pass.
I've been able to keep it from the kids and Tony pretty well, seeing as they've all cooped themselves up in the basement lab, allowing me to freely run around the upstairs whenever I'm in need of a toilet to throw up into.
"Okay, you need to call Doctor Banner."
I jumped at the new voice, turning on the floor to see Harley standing in the bathroom's doorway, a cup of water held out for me.
"I'll be fine. It's probably nothing." I shook my head, slowly getting to my feet and flushing the toilet.
"Mama, if you don't call Doctor Banner, I will. Dad and Morgan might not hear it, but I've heard every time you stop whatever your doing to run to the closest bathroom."
"Harley, honey, it's probably just a stomach bug," I argued, slipping past the teen and walking into the hall. "Now, you wanna help me make dinner? I was thinking lasagna."
"Friday, call Doctor Banner."
"Calling Doctor Banner."
My eyes widened as the sound of a phone line rang threw the hall, and I quickly turned to see Harley with a pointed look on his face.
"No, Friday, cancel-"
"Hey, Avery. What's up, is Tony doing okay?" The doctor's voice cut me off, and I glared at a smirking Harley.
"Hey, Doc. My mama here has been getting pretty sick, so we were wondering if she could stop by for a check-up. Make sure she's doing okay."
"Oh, hey, Harley. Yeah, that's fine. I'm free tomorrow, if that's alright."
"That's fine." I gritted out. "Friday, end call."
Harley continued to stand with a satisfied smile while I glowered at him, crossing my arms over my chest.
"God, some days I think you really are Tony's bio kid."

"You didn't have to come with, you know."
"Had to make sure you actually came." Harley shrugged as we got out of the car, heading up to the compound.
"Hey, you two! Alex, you can come right on in. I don't know if you want Harley with us for this or not..." Bruce smiled, stepping out of one of the many med rooms when we got close.
"He can stay." I smiled, and the two of us walked in ahead of the doctor, taking seats in front of Bruce's desk.
"So, what all seems to be the matter?" The doc asked as soon as he sat across from us.
"Nothing, really-"
"She's been throwing up a lot, she's been a bit drowsy, she's started to have a sensitivity to some smells..." Bruce and I both stared at the boy, our eyes wide in shock. "Um, just, things like that."
"It's good to know you've got someone paying such close attention at home." Bruce chuckled, writing my symptoms down.
"Yeah, I'm really lucky." I smiled, looking at Harley and squeezing his hand.
"Alright, well, I've got a few ideas on what this could be. I'm gonna do some tests to rule things out, if that's alright."
"Yeah, that's fine." I nodded.
Bruce did a few different tests, including bloodwork as well as a few different body scans. Once this was all done and the results were completed, he led me back to the office Harley was waiting in, the two of us sitting back down as he shuffled his papers around.
"Well, the tests were all conclusive, and I am pleased to say that my original prediction is correct. It's how you'll want to proceed with the information, that I'm not sure about." Banner told us, and Harley nervously took my hand.
"Is she going to be alright?"
"Oh, yeah, no matter what, Avery should be perfectly fine," Bruce reassured the teen.
"So, what's the diagnosis, Doc?"
"You're pregnant."
