Loki's POV ~
Life has slowed a lot since the majority of Asgardians came back to Asgard. Because of what the Midgardians have been calling the "Blip", and the fact that some of our people had been killed by Hela, unable to come back by Liv, we've had to change a bit of things around Asgard.
Which is what I was doing right now, sitting in a meeting with what was left of the Asgardian counsel, which comprised of wrinkly old men.
"But, you're Highness,"
"It's your "majesty" now, Ivar. Odin is dead, Liv turned into a pile of dust, and Mother has refused to rule, as well as Thor, who right now is unfit to rule. I am King. You would do well to remember that." I glared at the man, who "confused" titles one too many times for it to be an accident from an old mind.
"Of course, majesty. I am just unsure of how we will be able to fund such a thing as a school for children with seidr. And I also don't see why we should have on in the first place! We should be building our armies, before another realm attacks-"
"No realm would be stupid enough to attack when we are all at our weakest." Thyra, the only female member of the council at the moment, budded in.
"I agree. Which is why I believe it is smart to start helping our people, not our warriors. One way to start that is by helping the children. We should also give more spending to the orphanage, seeing as some children are now orphans from past events."
"That sounds like a wonderful idea, you're majesty. We'll look into it right away." Thyra nodded, making me give a tightlipped smile.
"Now, coming back to the warriors-"
"Papa, Papa!"
"I'm sorry, everyone. Give me a moment." I sighed, standing and walking to my daughter, who was rushing toward me.
"Papa, look what I found in the gardens with Amma!" The redhead smiled, looking the picture of her mother.
"That's very nice, love, but I've got to-"
"Oh, you should come see what else Amma has grown! The gardens look so good!"
"Darling, listen, I have to-"
"And the palace gardener got hidden hedges back, so I found a whole bunch of hidden coves!"
"Frig!" I yelled a bit, shocking the child a bit as she took a step back. "I'm sorry, but I have to work for a bit longer. Go find your Amma, and I'll try and find you later."
"Um, okay." Her small voice said, and she disappeared a moment later.
I sighed, rubbing a hand down my face in frustration as I turned around to go back to my seat at the head of the table.
"Let's make this quick. I have to check on my daughter."
~~
"Mother!" I smiled, walking over to the woman in the gardens.
"Hello, darling. How was the counsel?"
"Old and wrinkly as ever." I sighed. "Where's Frig? Is she wandering the hedges? She told me the hidden coves had been brought back."
"She is not with you?" Mother's eyes widened.
"No... She came to me during the meeting but I asked her to come back to you, and that I'd see her after."
"I thought she stayed with you, she never came back after going to see you!"
"Oh, Norns above," I grumbled, the two of us rushing back into the palace.
