~Olivia~

"Your what?!" I screamed into the phone, causing several Asgardians to throw me strange looks.

"Olivia, you need to be a bit more quiet. I'm sure Tony could hear you from downstairs."

"You haven't told him yet?!"

"Olivia, I swear to god-"

"Avery that's amazing! When did you find out? When are you going to tell Tony? Who else knows?" I rambled, throwing the crate in my left arm down in the pile with the others while my right hand readjusted my phone.

"You, Bruce, and Harley are the only ones who know right now. I was thinking of doing some sort of surprise reveal, but I don't know how I would go about it."

"I'll help wherever I can. I can even come back early to help in person."

"Are you sure? I know you probably need this time to... process everything, some more."

"Yeah, well, my family needs me. I think I can pull myself together enough for that."

"Olivia Stark, if you are not mentally ready to come back then don't. I have people here that can help me. I'll be fine." The woman on the other end scolded me.

"I'm doing just fine, Avery. I promise. I'll be okay."

~~

I'm not okay.

Five minutes back in the States and it feels like there are hundreds of eyes on me, wanting to see the woman whose, according to the news, love story went from happily ever after to ashes in a matter of minutes.

Literally.

Half the American population already knew about my original Romeo and Juliet tragedy with Jamie, thanks to it literally being taught in schools, but now most of the world seems to know about how the tragedy stayed just that.

A tragedy.

"Ms. Lynn should be meeting you inside, Ms. Stark."

"Thanks, Happy." I smiled as he handed me my bags from the trunk.

"It's good to have you back." The man gave a curt nod back before moving to get back into the car. I stared up at the large building as Happy drove away, taking a deep breath before walking up the steps.

"Welcome back to the Avengers Compound, Ms. Stark."

"Thanks, Friday." I gave a smile to the ceiling. "Could you please tell me where Avery is?"

"Ms. Lynn is currently pacing in the Stark living quarters."

"Oh, boy," I mumbled, quickly walking towards where the pregnant woman was, finding her doing exactly what Friday said. "Is that really healthy for the baby? I feel like even they're getting stressed in there, with the back and forth."

"Oliv, your here!" The woman cheered upon seeing me, stopping her repetitive movement to give me a hug. "God, I think Tony's getting suspicious. He asked me where I was going today when I was leaving the house."

"Yikes. What did you tell him?" I cringed a bit, knowing that Tony could care less where anyone went, as long as his family was safe.

Plus, if he really wanted to, he could track any person in the world.

"I told him I had some work things to handle at the compound. Which is technically true anyway, seeing as I always have work to do nowadays."

"How's the company doing?" I asked, bringing the two of us to sit on one of the couches.

"It's doing just fine. Danial Richardson keeps bugging me to get him in contact with Tony, but I keep pushing against it since he's still not fully back to health."

"You should fire him."

"Olivia, I can't just fire him."

"Um, yes you can. You're literally the owner of the company right now." I gave her a "duh" look.

"I'm the interim CEO. I don't think I have much power here."

"You do. You just haven't bothered looking into it." I shrugged.

"It's not that I just- you know what, that's not what we're here to talk about." The brunet shook her head. "How do you suggest I tell Tony I'm pregnant? Cause right now I don't really have any ideas."

"Well..." I mumbled, glancing around the room as if an idea would pop out from behind one of the lounge chairs. "I'm assuming you don't want to just straight up tell him."

"No, that sounds so..." Avery trailed off, her eyebrows furrowing in concentration. "I mean..."

"What?"

"What if I did? What if I just told him?"
